Is this intended as an accountability thread, too? If so, abs - it's happening.

It's very hard when the person you are with isn't quite the same. I love to cook and despite how limited my diet is, it's damn good food. Being the girl....the guy just eats whatever I make, so it's not quite the same for me. I would have major issues with someone that thinks Velveeta is cheese, though.

It may not be real cheese but it's delicious.

Damn velveeta and American "cheese"

try melting some real cheeses (i like gouda & mozz) with a little butter (real stuff), milk, and a generous amount of red pepper with some pasta. You'll never look back to the orange slime again.

I'll have to try that out. I've been trying different types of good cheese lately anyways. I was slightly disturbed when I started reading the labels on cheese and almost all of them said "cheese product" I just wanted some cheese not whatever the hell they put in "cheese product".

if you ever have questions about food and what is in what you are buying, feel free to ask me. As well as ideas on actually being able to pull it off in real life. That was the hard part for me.

My fiancee is a pretty big foodie and cheese is one of the things she likes to indulge herself in from time to time. I like it too, but I tend not to like really strongly flavored cheeses, or very soft cheeses. I can get down with a good camembert from time to time, though.

We are kind of derailing this thread... maybe we should have a food thread?

If we have too many off topic threads, they may start shutting them down. Food can go here too imo.

Try to run at least 3 times a week. Mix in P90x workouts. Been hampered with plantars lately though

I do not need to do any p90X or run 5 miles right now. About to enter the gaining phase

6'1" 235

between vacationing to Chicago a couple weeks before thanksgiving and then christmas and new year celebrations I have put on 15 lbs. Sucks. stupid calories and laziness.

It's been a long road for me. I was always pretty heavy but got real fat in college (2001-2006). Don't know if they still do but Eureka had their 3 small one topping pizzas for $7 deal and kraft easy mac had just come out when I was on the hill. got up to 285. stayed that way until my first child came (2008). Got motivated to be healthy for him and got down to 220. Ultimate goal is right at 200.

Lost the first 40lbs with weight lifting and eliptical/treadmill.

lost the rest doing Insanity. That shite is nuts, to me. but it works.

just bought a sweet arse power rack for my garage and am eager to sort of create a nice routine for myself.

goal workout is 5-7 days a week depending on level of motivation and time available . Lift MWF, Insanity T,Sat, Run 2-3 mi Th, Sun.

I believe in doing something for at least 20-30 min everyday. I realize this workout schedule could burn a person out, but it really shouldn't be too hard to find the motivation to run a couple miles or at least do the warm up and stretch of insanity on an "off" day

i've been a total lazy slob the last 3 months, mainly consisting of sitting on my couch or doing other more fun but equally as sedentary things.

i started walking today- it's simple and easy especially since i'm really out of it after the 3 months off. once i get going will probably start doing other stuff too but i would die right now if i tried insanity or the p90x- die.

I think you do have to work up to Insanity/P90x. I did Jillian Michaels' Banish Fat Boost Metabolism and No More Trouble Zones for about 6 months before I started Insanity, and still felt like I had been hit by a truck for a couple of days after that first day.

And I still don't look like the people in the video, but I can do real, honest-to-goodness push-ups!

I did this for about a year

I didn't gain any weight really (yay, Asian genetics) but I got out of shape. I just started slowly doing things here and there and now I have a little routine I do everyday. It's not much but enough to not feel like a lazy piece of shite.

I'm jk

I can do about 5 real ones so I stick to the pussy push ups. I have a weak chest/weak arms but pretty strong legs.

Your going to have to quit calling them that. I mean all I can think of to ask is "is it harder because it's sideways? ya know..cuz you're asian"

It's more diagonal since I'm half white.
