8-4, with 10-2 much more plausible than 6-6.

9/3 Louisiana Tech - W
9/10 @TCU - L
9/17 Texas State - W
9/24 Texas A&M (Arlington) - W
10/1 Alcorn State (LR) - W
10/8 Alabama - L
10/15 Ole Miss - L
10/22 @Auburn - W
10/29 OPEN
11/5 Florida - W
11/12 LSU - W
11/19 @Miss. State - W
11/25 @Missouri - W

I'm gonna go with 9-3, with an early season loss to TCU on the road that we would've won later in the season. I think that's about our ceiling, but I also struggle to find any more than 4 losses on that schedule. Maybe I'm too hopeful that AA picks up where BA left off, we shall see. I'm excited to see how this season unfolds, I honestly have no solid idea what to expect.

Then i started thinking about the oline and secondary. We just moved our right side to the left side. I dont think were going to be that effective running the ball against good teams, and i keep hearing unwarranted "depth" at secondary.

Looks like Pygamillion was the only one to predict a win vs TCU and a loss vs. A&M. But he also had a loss vs Ole Miss.

So 7 weeks in and we were all wrong

Idk why so many people picked us to lose to Ole miss After the past 2 seasons. Or lsu for that matter. And I was shocked so many had tamu as a win. Normally if a coach has beaten another team multiple times it means he has a somewhat formula for success.

I thought this year had the chance to be a big year before the season because of how much we were returning on defense. I believed that Rhoades would sure up the secondary and Enos would have Austin on a level high enough for us to score some points. What I didn't expect was for our run defense and oline, 2 things I thought beilama could actually handle, would be this terrible. That's what made me jump off the beilama wagon. He proved to me he doesn't have any side of the ball or position that he can hang his hat on and we can be sure is gonna be good year in and year out. A good coach always has that. At least one thing you can count on to be there.

That's one of the bummer things... I have absolutely no valid reason to look forward to or be optimistic about for next year. We can't even say 'wait until next year' now.

I see no area that was a weakness this year that is going to be better than this year. MAYBE linebacker depth will be better, but the quality of the depth remains to be seen.

I'm the same way. There are a few areas or facets of our team that were liabilities this year where I don't feel progress was made, and in turn don't feel good going into next year. Those include offensive line, goal line offense, second half offense, pass rush, linebacker, safety, field goal kicking, and punt/kickoff coverege.

To top it off, I haven't felt this bad about our coaching situation going into a season since 2012, and 2007 before that.

I've wanted Robb Smith gone since Auburn, but we also appear to have legitimate schematic and philosophical problems on defense may not even be solved with a new DC.
