It's not like they've been other worldly against us lately.. We would have beaten them in 2014 if Kody Walker hadn't decided to toss the ball out the back of the end zone unprovoked. And now they have bigger question marks at QB than even we do.

Kirk Herb just picked TCU to go to the playoffs. It doesnt look good.

He also picked LSU and Arizona State to make the CFP last year.
ASU got thrashed by a bad A&M team in their opener and limped to 6-7. LSU got curb-stomped three games in a row by Bama, us and Ole Miss.
Him picking TCU makes me feel better about that game.

I've seen us picked nationally (i.e. someone other than a Hog fan) anywhere from 6-6 to 10-2. Both of which are possible, but also not likely. The truth lies somewhere in between, I think.

I agree, and I saw someone on another board (not HV) say something similar and it caught my eye. We could finish anywhere between 6-6 and 9-3, and anything outside of those two would shock me.

I drank the koolaid, thought about putting us down at 10-2 or11-1.
Then i started thinking about the oline and secondary. We just moved our right side to the left side. I dont think were going to be that effective running the ball against good teams, and i keep hearing unwarranted "depth" at secondary.
Unfortunately i dont think this is the year. Raulerson couldnt become a consistant starter on Texas' worst teams ever. Maybe he'll be strong enough next season.

8-4 still seems likely
Definitely would not be shocked by a 12- 0 season, just too many unknowns to get my hopes up.

This is a good point. Different publications have picked us all over the place. 2nd in the West to last in the west. Hard to get a good read.
