Gus is smarter than Bielema. He went and got SEC experienced assistants that were the better recruiters on their previous staffs.

Now Gus' stubbornness w/ his offense and Waterboy Rhett is enough to question his intelligence.

If only he could have managed to lose to Jacksonville State in OT. My erection definitely would have lasted longer than four hours.

So are we calling someone that keeps a level head, understands that there's extenuating circumstances to every side of the story, supports the players that are giving it their all, and isn't wanting to start the process all over again 2-1/2 years later an enabler now?

There can be legitimate reasons why you don't beat a team like Bama in their house without it being "excuse making." It's not right to lump it all into one category or another, because no part of what is going on with the team is as black and white as that. I guess since I'm not ready to fire someone RIGHT NOW I'm considered an enabler? The OP is basically saying that if you're not upset about this loss and wanting immediate change then you're just enabling it continue, and that's crazy talk - especially after we've clearly been improving and won an away SEC game last week with the shite-tastic hand we've been dealt.

This team could've easily packed it in after all the injuries, the loss to Toledo, being scorched by TTech at home, and losing a heartbreaker in Dallas, but they just keep on plugging away and never give up. It's sad that some of our fans give up long before the guys taking the actual hits, breaking bones, having BillyBob talk shite to/about them on social media, and pouring every ounce of themselves into getting better.

Why this fanbase can't just get the frick over themselves and their petty little "I'm right!" "No, I'M right!" "no, you're not even a real fan so I'm right!" shite is beyond me. We have fans that legitimately want us to lose games so they can get on some message board or call in show and say that they "TOLD YA SO!" And it always seems to be the dumbest ones that are the loudest, it's fricking mind-numbing sometimes.

I love the Hogs as much as anybody, but I'm not going to act like they've inconvenienced ME by not being the best team in the country or losing a game. Seriously, does anybody realize how foolish it sounds to act like you, as a fan, are more upset about a loss than the individual players and coaches? This is their career, future, livelihood, name, and reputation all on the line here, you think they don't worry about this shite constantly and try their absolute hardest to find any-frickING-thing possible to right the ship?

In the words of the great Clark Griswold-

HALLELUJAH

HOLY shite

i'm not really all that demanding. I mean at the end of the day it's fricking college football. My life is not going to change if we go on a 70 game win streak or some shite. I'm not going to die if we lose 30 in a row.

Entertain me. Don't fricking suck donkey dick, win some games , play hard, i'm good with a serious run at something once every 4-5 years honestly. It's not that i don't care i just have much more important shite to worry about than a college football team. ollege football for me is my day off, beer and pizza. it's not life or death

that's really the reason i was so pissed that petrino was fired. he was fricking entertaining as frick.

i'll add this as well... we're an extremely, extremely well coached team. Our defensive players take proper angles, know how to get off blocks, know how to tackle. our offensive players run good routes

what our fans want is us to go out and "get" some highly recruited players and fix this shite 'RIGHT NOW" and that's not gonna happen

on the contrary, aggies are the worst coached team i've seen all year. they can't tackle for shite, block for shite , constantly run themslves out of plays. they win games becuase they have more talent than you do and a very easy scheme for their offense to understand

So you'd rather be a purist and prefer to see technique over athleticism and raw athletic awe and wins?

You've gone to more Liberty games than Knicks games haven't you?

You're a frickng WNBA can fan.

Lisa Lobo over LeBron James.

Delladenova of whatever her name is, is kinda hot though.

After a lot of soul searching I have to admit that I'm still a bit of an enabler.

I still see a chance to improve on last year's record with the defense playing better than expected and the staff coming up with something to get this offense firing. We seem to be so close to being serviceable.

I can also point to last year as to how the defense improved as the season progressed and reason that the same thing could happen with the offense this year.

There are no Toledos remaining on the schedule so there's reason to be optimistic.

The Aubarn game is going to tell us a lot about Enos.

Aubarn has a defense that is capable of being exploited.

After watching days of film the Enos offensive genius in the bama game was throwing the screen in the flat to Morgan a few times.

You could make the argument that nothing Enos could have come up with would have worked against that defense with our personnel.

You can't make that argument about Aubarn.

that screen was not a bad call at all, yardage was there. Morgan was reading the block wrong

I'm simply stated that as far as COACHING is concerned we have a good one. our players are well coached. I'm not happy at all with our conditioning. that's another thread. yes we are short on talent in some positions. but we have a good COACH and that's the most important thing. the wins will come in due time.

The ONLY position that I see that we are not better coached at from the petrino area is QB, and what i've seen from enos and what he's done to allen's mechanics / foot work in less than a year, i'm not totally sure that's the case either.

I suppose I'm an enabler.

My thoughts when we hired Bert that finally we would have a great defense finally and that we could have RB's much like Dmac and company.
After watching how Russell Wilson played at Wisky I was encouraged that we would have a balanced offense.

I was a bit concerned how Bert seemed unable to win big games especially the Rose Bowl against TCU. I wrote that off to less than capable Asst. coaches.

Now in yr. 3 I thought we would be a 7-5, 8-4 team with hopes that BA could take the next step as a 5th yr. senior.

I still believe that it's going to take Bert a couple of years to build something good here. How good?, not sure if he can win a championship in the SEC West.

I'm still 100% behind him.

I'm going to enjoy the buy week on the beach in Alabama and heckle some Awbarn fans.

I'm onboard the Bert train

But seriously, I just watched the Alabama game. A few thoughts.

1. BA's arm looked mildly better (aside from not reading progressions), but more importantly, he had the balls to duck and run, knowing he was going to get hit hard. And shite man, he was nailed a few times. Props to him.

2. Defense looked fantastic until they got gassed. Couldn't really ask for more.

3. OL struggled, but Bama's DL is ridiculously deep. Still, more chemistry is needed here. BA was hit too many times.

Felt pretty good afterwards, honestly. JWill and Hatcher would have been difference makers, but the kids played their hearts out. Looking forward to the rest of the season.

Bielema is continually bringing in assistants that don't have much SEC experience if any at all. That might be an issue that no-one is talking about.

Partridge = zero SEC experience
Shannon = zero SEC experience
Chaney = limited SEC experience at crappy Tennessee
Pittman = same
Jennings = zero SEC experience
Thomas = zero SEC experience
New RB Coach = zero SEC experience
Lunney = Played in the SEC, coached in C-USA on an overwhelmed Keith Burns Tulsa staff. zero SEC coaching experience
Seagrest = Played at Bama, only was a GA at Bama and Auburn.
Hargreaves = zero SEC experience
M. Smith = zero SEC experience
R. Smith = zero SEC experience
Enos = zero SEC experience

Agreed. I'm not out on this staff, but the sheer lack of SEC experience is pretty alarming, and has been since day one.
