If Austin can pull his head out of his arse we could be pretty good. O line is better but Austin is trying to be perfect on every play and overthinking everything instead of just getting the ball out of his hand. We saw it against Florida A&M and again last week against TCU. Both he and Enos have identified this problem, so if he fixes it we fix the offense.

The defense is obviously better. Rhoads has been a major improvement and our turnover margin has seen a huge jump.

Not trying to pump sunshine up anyone's arse but I think this team could still have a pretty good season and get 8 wins.

FAMU - W
TCU - L
A&M - W
NMSU - W
@SC - W
@Bama - L
Auburn - W
@Ole Miss - W
CC - W
@Lsu - L
State - L
Mizzou - W

The staple with Bret has been large improvements over the course of the season after slow starts.

This is why I haven't really said anything negative nor am I wanting him fired yet.

If come later in the year we are still really bad and aren't greatly improved then yeah, that will change. But I'm still fine giving him the rest of the year to let it all play out.

If Fat arse hasn't lost this team, absolutely.

Saturday will be huge, win and we make a run, lose and we might tank.

The new uniforms could be the deciding factor. Kids love that shite and it could make them play over their heads. Bert said he doesn't need Superman from every player, but maybe we could get someone to play like Lloyd Bridges from Sea Hunt.

Plus Austin cut all his hair off so maybe his helmet won't be so tight.

Things are never as bad as they seem.

That's sort of a fallacy, though. It was true in 2014 and 2015, but we lost 9 straight in 2013 and got significantly worse over the course of the season last year. So really, it's only happened half the time under Bert.

Those 2014 and 2015 teams were infinitely better than this one.

I would never count 2013 against him in any scenario so for me it's definitely true.

Wouldn't say we got worse last year either, definitely not significantly. We barely beat LaTech 21-20 and lucked out a 2OT win over a 6-7 TCU team.

Defense is not bad at all imo. Offense kept putting them in shite spots and only gave up 14 points in 57 minutes until they finally wore out and special ed teams failed them. If the offense figures it out, the year is definitely salvageable.

We scored a grand total of THREE second half points in 4 of our final 6 games against P5 opponents last year, including getting railed 56-3 by Auburn.

Shirley you're not saying that that doesn't qualify as "getting worse" are you?

Perhaps, there is a small chance that CBB told the truth that AA was injured in camp>

Or maybe not.

Bielema can still redeem himself, but I'm not on his bandwagon anymore. If he doesn't start producing immediately I'd like to see him go away.

And dominated first halves to counter your 2nd half point so...yeah. We were bad at the start, and got a little better late just not as much as the last 2 years. However 2/3 is definitely more the norm and once again, the point stands.

Too many qualifiers to be a meaningful stat. You've been doing this a lot lately. You can make your point without making up ridiculous stats.

You're entitled to your own opinion, but not your own facts.

Auburn - 0 second half points
LSU - 3 second half points
Missouri - 0 second half points
Belk Bowl - 0 second half points

Fake news?

It's the pattern that bothers me...

A 56-3 no show against Auburn - losing that game in itself was not a shock, how we lost was.

Blowing decent halftime leads in back to back season ending games, when after the first CBB said that wouldn't happen again.

Folding up the tent again against TCU, a game we had the talent to win.

All this boils down to one factor to me - coaching.

I'm old enough to remember when we didn't have to rest our hopes on new uniforms
