Almost a terrierable loss... WHEW Pig Sooie

One team had a two week break and was all worked up for the upset. The other played a tough game Sunday with its best player in a continued slump until 3 min left.

I hate 12-5 match ups because these games are what yiu get.

earlier we were talking about how a 10 day layoff would hurt them, not help.

arkansas is in a slump at the worst time to be in one. luckily qualls carried us.

and speaking of that, how does it seem like qualls carries the game and portis is nonexistent then you look at the stats and portis has like 15 pts and 15 rebounds

Our offensive movement was much better those last few minutes when Portis went for 7 pts quickly. in side out smart movement. Not take a triple team contested lay up on the first inside pass

Haven't had the chance to watch many games this year...but I thought the officiating was a little more lax than what we see in conference play. Not that its a bad thing, but we seemed to try and draw a lot of fouls that normally get called and were slow to adjust to how they were letting both teams play.

With the way the day started.. I was so scared going in.

Yeah, after watching this game, I don't think we'll get it done this time against NC like we did in the '95 tourney in the final four game. (Hoping for reverse jinx by stating that.) ...

But I do remember us almost getting beat by TX Southern in the first round of the '95 tourney, then going on to the finals, after winning the championship the year before. Every game until VA was a nail biter in the '95 tourney, but I remember watching in stunned silence the last few minutes of the TSU game thinking we were gonna lose in the first frickin round after winning the damn natty the year before. ...

Of course, I'm not comparing this year's team with the '95 team; just saying we've barely gotten a win in round 1 before, & gone on to the finals. It can happen.

'95 AR vs. TSU highlights video - Awesome to watch, although we almost lost it, first round. ... Damn, it seems people could just frickin shoot better back then, & we were awesome, (especially in '94, no doubt) even when we played "shitty" & almost got beat first round. ... Stewart was on fiya with the 3s in this game, & Williamson was my fave player of the 90s, & maybe ever, even though he fouled out this game. ... Maybe we should take the game against Wofford as a sign that we're going to do well the rest of the way. Here's some hope. ...
