Guess hand size matters, but Jake Rudock and Nate Sudfeld just got drafted before him.

That would be a much better option this point.

I was surprised when he was being projected as a draft pick. He had one good season and measurable weren't great. He would be an ok backup maybe st best. If he's starting for your franchise you're probably having a bad season of injuries.

Of course we're all biased toward Allen because he was our main dude. The freaking Indiana QB still isn't a better choice than BA. I mean come on.

Two Fullbacks (an almost extinct position) just went… this is nuts.

And as for being 6'1"… Kody Kessler is same height and went in 3rd round.

Yeah but he is 6'6" 230.

And scouts might think he will continue to develop.

Whereas maybe teams think Allen is at his ceiling.

You draft based on what they will become not necessarily they are.

True, but...

quote:

Kessler was a finalist for the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award the past two years because he moves the offense efficiently (3,826 yards, completed 69.7 percent of his passes; 3,536, 66.8 percent in 2015) and doesn?t turn the ball over much (39 touchdowns, five interceptions in 2014; 29 TD, 7 INT in 2015). In fact, Kessler owns the school record for career completion percentage at 67.5.

Allen has not put up numbers like that

That's awesome.

Happy for Brandon. Kid never gave up and developed into a strong QB.

Great situation. Allen will be a 10 year backup QB on a year in year out play off team. That defense they are building is nasty.

Only situation I'm not to crazy about is Williams bills need online help and have McCoy as already

the last 7 QB'S who had the highest qbr that were drafted all are starting but 1 in the nfl today. the lone outlier is manziel and brandon isn't a coked out frick up. measurables don't mean shite.

Ok

But that does not change the fact....that being short does not help your draft stock.

If Allen had been 6-3 or 6-4 he probably would have went sooner is all I was pointing out.

Russell wilson is 5'11(one of those 7 as well). brandon played behind the biggest line in all of football. none of that crap matters. as long as you have the ability to make all of the throws. being a QB in the NFL is more mental than physical.

If he doesn't stick in the NFL, wonder if he might go into coaching.

He seems like a competitor and leader.....been around football coaches his whole life....that might turn out to be his calling.

Ok......but again....NFL puts stock in height and prefers guys who are 6'3" and above.

Being under that doesn't preclude you but it does hurt your draft stock some on draft day.
