have we ever had 6 draft picks in a year?

Six Arkansas players have been invited to the NFL Combine: B. Allen, A. Collins, H. Henry, D. Kirkland, S. Tretola & J. Williams.

Smothers, Gaines and Hodge were the only other senior starters I believe.

I think we had 7 in 2004ish. 6 would be way above average for us. Good stuff.

It's always interesting to me around this time to see who NFL.com compares them to.

Brandon Allen- Case Keenum LINK

Hunter Henry- Jason Witten LINK

Sebastian Tretola- Bobby Hart LINK

Jonathan Williams- T.J. Yeldon
LINK

Collins and Kirkland haven't been done yet

I've compared Henry to Witten more times than I can remember when talking to people here in Dallas.

Obviously not that he will (or won't) necessarily have a similar career. Just that he literally looks like him, running routes, and catching the ball.

I made this comparison earlier and was laughed at on tRant.

Well we definitely had talent on the team. And more talent coming up that will be drafted. Now all we need are wins and I think we have the beginning of getting our recruiting in order.

Every player invited is on offense

The only side of the ball everybody knew we had talent on

Last year it was all defense

We just gotta get both sides of the ball on the same page

They'll line up well eventually. What we need is some young stars to emerge so that can happen. Also would help if we weren't always so injury ridden.

Yeah, but we also didn't really have anyone graduate or leave on the defense.

Collins and Kirkland's reports are up on NFL.com. Collins gets compared to Chris Ivory and is considered a 3rd rounder while Kirkland got compared to Cyril Richardson. They weren't too high on Kirkland.

Kirkland should have stayed and stuck it out one more year. I think he is too slow to play tackle at the NFL level. He is a true guard which is what I'm sure they are looking at for him.

I hope the best for him, but he could've really helped himself with another year.

3rd round for Alex would be a good payday.

Henry - 6.5

Chance to become NFL starter
Collins - 5.7
J. Will - 5.57

NFL backup or special teams potential
Allen - 5.39
Tretola - 5.39

Better-than-average chance to make NFL roster

NFL.com mock draft today has Allen going mid 3rd round to Arizona.

Whoa.

that's crazy to me. Tretola gonna be an NFL starter one day for sure almost. Dude screwed up when he was younger but he's been lights out here. He was a pretty dominant blocker for the entire time.

Kirkland - 5.06

should have came back for his senior year. I wonder what drove him to leave early like that.

Collins - 5.7

Henry - 6.5

He's going to be a great player.
