I will never forget that feeling

Which is a good thing since it looks like I will be dead before it ever happens again.

Seeing these 3s at the end of the game made me think of Scotty's.

Damn I miss being good at basketball.

I still remember sitting around the old TV feeling miserable because it felt like we were going to lose. Dwight mishandles the pass with barely any time on the shot clock and I'm thinking "that's it, we're gonna lose".

Then Scotty's 3 goes in and everyone is jumping and going crazy.

Then feeling torn between wanting to celebrate and being in disbelief that we actually pulled it off. Against Duke, the NCAA's baby.

Pulled out the old Hog Wild video tonight after the game. Listening to Mike Nail make the call took me back.

The range of emotions that I went through during the last 5 minutes of that game was immense. I'll never forget the moment when Scotty hit that shot. Sure it would have been cool to win in a blowout but to knock of Duke in that way was epic.

I remember sitting on my dad's lap and him saying "we did it, we really did it".

He was in complete disbelief. Just an utter dream that we were able to do that at little old arky.

When Thurman hit the three, I nearly jumped high enough that I knocked my head on the ceiling fan.

Those days of being great at basketball are so far removed

I just remember Dad having about the same level of reaction in back to back years.

Except one was pure jubilation and the other insanely pissed off.

95 was some Bullsheeeeiiit.
