Missouri has an unusually deep group coming through in '18 so I imagine we spend some time up there again.

For a program that emphasizes OL I was pretty dissappointed with our 2017 class. Hopefully in 2018 we can step it up and get guys with better offers than Colorado St.

Maybe because our OL coach is an NFL assistant that nobody has ever heard of

Considering the chances Noland never walks onto campus because of baseball what's the harm in recruiting bohannon

That's a possibility.

Hopefully he's not one of those kids that demands immediate playing time. If he does I think we will pass on him.

If he's ok with competition I think it would be foolish not to take him.

a bit of advice...

There are several on here that get a jolly out of downvoting. Let em have their fun. It means nothing, notta. Hurts not one dang bit.

If anyone's life is so miserable that downvoting an unknown human being on the message board gets them their jollies. Have at it.

and don't be thin skinned. Cheers!

ohhh, an upvoted for good measure.

really thin instate class this coming year it seems.
Noland, Bohannan, Bishop may be the only 3 that are SEC

This is said every year at this time.
But, national recruiting services take a while to award stars.

A year ago, 247 had only 6 athletes in Arkansas with a star (all of which were only 3 stars) and guys like montaric brown weren't on that list yet.

So, the 18 in state crop has more 4 stars now than we had this time last year.

A year ago, montaric brown, Jarrod Barnes, koilan Jackson, etc. Didn't have a single star.

Fwiw, this was everyone in the state that had a star in the 17 class a year ago per 247

Akial Byers: 3 stars
Taylor Powell: 3 stars
Terrence Rock: 3 stars
Josh Johnson: 3 stars
Monta Thomas: 3 stars
Darius Hopkins: 3 stars

All 3 were pursued/committed for quite some time. I have hard time being such a cynic that I think our coaches would take guys that early if they didn't like them alot.

Crazy that none of those guys were offered by Arkansas and it looks like Rock, Thomas and Hopkins didn't sign anywhere.

Thomas didn't have the grades and Hopkins committed to Coffeyville.

Don't know if he signed, haven't seen anything saying so - but I have seen NW Mississippi CC linked with Monta Thomas.
