Rawleigh Update

Looks like his future is still up in the air.

Williams made “thud” contact with defensive end McTelvin Agim on a nontackling run play at left tackle, fell to the turf and said “I can’t move,” according to Agim.

Yeesh.

I fully expect him to be out of football. And if there is much risk at all, I hope he does for his own sake and that of his family. Take a medical scholly and get that education.

Hate, Hate, and HATE this. Injuries suck!

That definitely reads to me like he won't be back. I can't blame him one bit. Football is a fraction of your life. No need to risk it.

Probably best that it happened now. If this happened on a non-tackling play, imagine if he took a big hit in a game. Could have been much worse.

Daytrieon Dean was not a heavily, heavily recruited kid, but a guy we liked. I lit him up pretty good in January about, 'We need to see something out of you. We need to go forward.' He's responded with a very good spring. I'm excited to see where he can go. I think the evolution of a new coach, a new scheme, is going to help him.”

Guess this confirms Bielema is sunshine pumping right up until it all falls apart

I think people need to put what he says into perspective. To me that reads that a kid failing at school had a good semester. He went from making F's to C's. It's a good improvement and can be exciting to see from someone struggling. He didn't say the kid was going to be starting but folks read every comment to mean that the kid he is referencing is going to be All-Pro.

Many times he uses the media for motivation or to try and get a kids attention. He'll always encourage until it's time to move on. We had some misses in the 2015 class. Could be more that move on from that group.

It would have been great obviously to keep him for depth but it's probably a smart move for his own personal goals.

Connor Mcphereson has contributed more than Juan Day. Good luck to him but the dude's bones and ligaments aren't built for football.
