Not really.
If you've been at one place long enough, you're bound to go through a group like this. This is the first in DVH's 15 years here.
Look at Texas. They recruit great but have sucked the last few years. At some point, you're due a bad season.

seriously. anyone who wants to fire DVH needs a reality check. You don't fire a coach who's been to as many CWS as he has.

They don't look crisp and clean like Arkansas baseball usually does.
We have a lot of different people playing multiple positions. The lineup is usually more established

It's going to be interesting to see what we bring back next year.
I would imagine Jackson will be gone even though he hasn't been great this year. I really like the Blaine Knight kid on the hill thought. We will also return Shaddy, Arledge, Cole, Eagen, McKinney?, Bonfield, and I guess we see who else goes in the draft.
Will be interesting to see what goes on with McKinney. If he transfers, etc.

That's probably one more than Mike will have 9 years from now.
Personally if I had to choose one, I would rather be in the World Series than win the conference on any given year.
Some may feel the opposite and that's fine, to each his own.
Same for basketball. Give me the elite eight vs winning the conference and not getting to the sweet 16.

Winning the conference in baseball and basketball doesn't carry as much weight as it does football. Just another way to get in the post season.
