This team just doesn't seem like the others.
I'm of the opinion McKinney and Taco are extremely weak minded. Possibly the most weak minded pitchers DVH has ever recruited. Unfortunately, they're here at the same time for us.

Nice little comeback after almost all the fans left.
Taco, should never start another game, his at best a 40 pitch middle reliever. I'd just as soon see the Freshman Campbell start. He gave us solid inning to close out the game.
We'll get one game from the Lizards, their BP isn't as strong as I thought and they had to use their closer last night.

Meh...Ultimate feels the same as us. Every season we have had good quality pitching and it's just so out of the ordinary for a Van Horn/Jorn club to be this bad with starting pitching.
I think the bottom line is...they've recruited what they thought were studs(McKinney, Taco) and for once, two prospects just haven't panned out. We just haven't ever had many flops where pitching is concerned. Now we have had two, but they're here at the same time. Which hurts the team worse.

This isn't meant as a flame, but how many stud pitching prospects have we had that panned out?? Stanek i guess and maybe Schmidt (though I don't know where his ranking was coming out of HS).
My point is we seem to have more luck with guys coming out of HS under the radar, or frankly just not as good at that point, and then developing them into studs. Unfortunately that hasn't panned out this year either.

Take a year off in recruiting when you lose multiple key players to the draft and this is what you get, a shite product.

You keep saying this but how is last years recruiting class the problem??? I'm not saying they aren't contributing to our sucking, but the guys that are Sophomore's, (the last highly ranked class) isn't carrying their weight at all.

I don't know if anyone's watching, but Tac just pitched 9 scoreless innings. Unfortunately, our bats are cold and gave him no support. Heading into the 10th.
