Everybody always said MA would only recruit him again if he decommitted from Florida, I guess we'll probably see how true that is.

Yeah, from what I had read it was Memphis after UF but that was back in the early signing period when he didn't sign and then Memphis continued their dumpster fire spiral so who knows.

KeVaughn's may not be a position of need, but he certainly is a talent we could use.

Per RD today:

"It looks like Arkansas receiver signee Dominique Reed of Hutchinson Community College will finish strong academically and expects to report to Fayetteville after the first summer session".

Really need him to step in and up, especially since Jojo is kind of up in the air.

Recruiting bits from Whole Hog:

quote:

Arkansas basketball will host a transfer for an official visit this weekend.

Colorado transfer Dustin Thomas, 6-7, 225 played at Pleasant Grove High School in Texarkana, Texas before signing with the Buffalos in 2013. He played in 35 games as a freshman and started six. As a sophomore, he started 11 of 32 games while averaging 4.4 points and 2.5 rebounds.

He and Arkansas football target McTelvin Agim know one another from growing up in the Texarkana area.

Power forward Ebuka Izundu is expected to choose from Arkansas, Miami, Tennessee, Cincinnati or Texas Tech.

Izundu, 6-9, 210 pounds of Charlotte (N.C.) Victory Christian Center School has officially visited Cincinnati and Tennessee. He'll visit Miami this weekend, Arkansas May 8-10 and Texas Tech May 15-17. He'll make a decision shortly after the trip to Lubbock.

He signed with North Carolina-Charlotte in November, but was given a release after Coach Alan Major and UNC-Charlotte departed ways.

Victory Christian Center Coach Aureice McCain said Coach Mike Anderson and associate head coach Melvin Watkins have visited the school. He said Izundu likes Anderson and Watkins' honest and straightforward approach. Izundu, who is from Lagos, Nigeria, has a 7-4 wingspan.

McCain believes center Moses Kingsley, who's from Nigeria, and power forward Ted Kapita, a native of Kinshasa, Congo, are pluses for the Hogs in trying to land Izundu.

Lee College assistant coach Marcus King said guard Ty Outlaw is finishing up semester finals next week and afterward will determine his final visits. Anderson and assistant T.J. Cleveland visited the school last week.

Arkansas defensive backs coach Clay Jennings visited the school of highly recruited running back Devwah Whaley of Beaumont, (Texas) Central on Thursday. Whaley said he'll most likely visit the Hogs this summer.

Razorback running back coach Jemal Singleton watched Plano East receiver Audie Omotosho scrimmage on Thursday. He also watched sophomore linebacker target Anthony Hines III. Both visited Fayetteville for Arkansas' spring game.

Hog defensive coordinator Robb Smith visited the school of safety target Calvin Bundage on Thursday.

Bundage, 6-3, 200, 4.5 of Edmond, Okla. Santa Fe has more than 20 offers, including the Hogs. He also visited for the spring game and has Arkansas as one of his top schools.

Little Rock Christian junior linebacker Stone Boshears, 6-0.5, 228, 4.8 has been invited to Air Force's invitation only camp. Army, Navy, The Citadel, Brown, Southeastern Missouri and Austin Peay are expected to check on him during the spring evaluation period.

He has recorded 4.08 pro-shuttle and has a 4.0 grade point average.

Arkansas incoming freshman receiver Deon Stewart recorded a 10.90 electronic time in the 100 meter finals at the district meet on Thursday. He ran 22.21 in the 200 during prelims. He also won the finals.

Hope defensive end McTelvin Agim recorded a time of 11.71 seconds in the 100 meters at 268 pounds on Thursday. He won the shot put with a toss of 53-1.

Kansas is starting to show strong interest in Bryant defensive lineman Cameron Murray.

the stats aren't very impressive. is there something more to this kid that makes him an attractive transfer?

I'm tempering my expectations for Dominique Reed. Demetrius Wilson was hyped to this level too.

Very good point.

Although, I think the Demetrius Wilson hype was more likely spin since we had just lost on an actual elite level JUCO WR.

This guy was being way hyped up even back when KJ Hill as still committed.

I think Demetrius Wilson would have been pretty good with a more consistent QB and health. Reed will benefit from BA's continued growth more than anything.

I'm guessing he was referring to Cordale Patterson or Courtney Gardner which wasn't a loss or elite.

Courtney Gardner is who I'm talking about. He decommitted from us and jumped to OU. But yes he was never a true loss because he never made it out of JUCO.
