I think Cornwell wins the job the way things are going. And Barnett is a close second, although he probably still redshirts. Coker is serviceable and you don't want to waste one of Barnett's years if Coker can be a capable backup again. I think Morris and Bateman are gone after the spring.

I'm starting to think DC12 may win it. Barnett has been making noise too, just needs to bulk up.

Im thinking Coker gets the initial nod opening night. But it will be more like Simms and McCarron between Coker and Cornwell and Cornwell comes away with it.

Seriously though, I heard Cornwell was #1 in some drills this past week. Maybe Kiffin sending Coker a message ? I also heard that Nick Saban really likes Barnett, but the guy needs a year with my friend Scott Cochran. Hope you guys have a fun and injury free A-Day.

Is it possible we are trying to keep Cornwell from transferring?
If not, it sucks that Coker wasn't able to speed things up and make better decisions. He has a hell of a good arm.

If Coker isn't head and shoulders above the rest you go with the younger guy with the most potential. Barnett needs to eat a few more pork chops.
I have NO problem with DC if he's even close to Coker.

Morris is garbage. Needs to transfer.
Coker looks solid. If kiffin can develop him through fall camp as he did sims, then we will be good.

I was pretty unimpressed with Bateman and Morris. Both looked a clear step below everyone else.
Barnett looked like a freshman who clearly has talent but will need time to develop.
Between Coker and Cornwell, I thought Coker looked better, but Cornwell did enough at the end to make me feel like I'd be fine with him in.

It's clearly Jake Coker this season, but next year at this time David Cornwell and Blake Barnett are going to have an epic battle.

After watching today, I agree. As of now it is definitely Coker. But, shite happens and things change. We will see come September. Just want the best guy out there.

with us being limited at RB it became obvious the QB's were going to be putting the ball in the air. We will be less prictable when the season starts. NS said there were six starters out on D. Can someone please name all these. Robinson, and Duvall and another DL whose name escapes me and a CB. Who else
