Marlon Humphrey still gets some 1st round hype in mocks, but he's started to slide a bit in those. Obviously Saban will give him his most accurate ranking when the time comes. I'd love to see Humphrey back next year. He's been really good, and I can only imagine the insane level he'd be at with another year in the system.

The OT class is considered weak as a whole, C-Rob may be a first rounder, he may slip a bit. I don't think an extra season would help him too much, though it could. He gone though.

Also, side note and not related tot he main purpose of the thread, but has anyone else seen Ryan Anderson's name popping up in first round mocks? That'd be great for him.

Offense next year should be unstoppable.

It won't be, obviously. But it should be.

Our offense won't reach it's potential until Hurts can consistently hit the deep ball.

A few of us were saying that Hump was struggling and would find himself out if the first round. Looks like that send to be the case.

He needs another year, because he ain't ready.

Averret had been out best CB

Literally every mock draft I can find has marlon Humphrey going somewhere in the 20s. He's going to test off the charts at the combine and will go first round

Everyone thought Landon Collins would be a high first rounder and then NFL coaches started studying his game film and found he wasn't that great in coverage and he fell to the 2ND round.

I could see the same thing happen to Humphrey. He was beaten in coverage a ton this year. He needs another year to grow and gain experience at the position and he could be a top 5 pick next year. He has only played 2 years in college.

Meh.

Mock draft sites had Ashawn and Jarran going in the first round too and those guys actually deserved such ratings because their play spoke for them.

Maybe you're right and they overlook his play because of his combine/pro day numbers...

If you were him would you really want to take that chance?

If he can turn into a lockdown corner these next two games and his stock surges, I would nake the jump. If not? I ain't losing money because of impatience.

Saban has done a phenomenal job in recruiting JRs to return for a SR year. We usually have a couple that bounce on out. I expect the same this year. However, Coach Saban does a great job of returning the fringe guys.

Sunseri left a year early. He could have improved his stock by staying.

Hump should do the same.

The guy is going to make his decision based on the grades he gets back, it's as simple as that. If he consistently gets a first round grade he's going to go. Reed and Robinson were a little different in that neither of them had a particularly great combine. Humphrey is going to test off the charts. I do hope he stays though

I think Hump would benefit from another year and is 50/50 right now

Stewart IMO is gone if he grades 2nd round. Dude was a beast this year and i cant see him improving his stock anymore than it is.

Cam is way gone

No offense, but you must not be looking too hard. Those three all pop up in the top four or five results for a Google of "NFL mock draft."

Furthermore, some of you are vastly overstating his struggles this year. He's been very solid. Gotten beat a little? Sure. So did Hargreaves and the other guys that got drafted in the 1st last year. Corner is a priority position in the NFL. He will be drafted high whenever he decides to come out.

I'm no coach or scout, but ive watched a lot of football in my life. I just don't see how these guys are rating him so high. And I say that as a biased Bama fan: I want to see him do well and get drafted early. That would be a good thing for Bama football and for him.

But if I'm an owner or a coach, I'd say there are at least 50 guys I'd draft before him.

ETA: 50 players, not 50 DBs

Marlon's footage isn't the best this year. Although he may get a 1st round grade. I'm not sure he'd go in the 1st round. I wouldn't think his family is in financial ruins compared to other players. I think I would come back if I were him unless he goes off in the playoffs.

Love me some Ardarius Stewart. Really hope to see him back next year but honestly he would be the easiest Jr. to replace imo. Ridley back with Jeudy coming in will be lethal. Also will miss Cam as a run blocker but losing him won't be devastating either. Damn we have it good as fans right now. Soak it in fellas.

The first safety in that draft went in the late 20's. Landon was the second off the board. Safety is a position where older corners are getting moved to these days and never has been a consistent high draft pick. Not to mention Landon was a strong safety who's strength was the rungame. It's surprising he dropped but the reasons why are pretty clear.
