I think the secondary and defensive tackle are pretty much set (the only moving piece possibly being Marlon), but what will the linebackers and edge rushers look like?

I think we have a pretty good idea of the candidates, but where will they all fit in terms of positions and depth chart?

Linebackers
- Shaun Dion Hamilton
- Rashaan Evans
- Keith Holcombe
- Christian Miller
- Anfernee Jennings
- Mack Wilson
- Ben Davis
- Dylan Moses
- Chris Allen
- VanDarius Cowan

Defensive Line
- Daron Payne
- Josh Frazier
- Raekwon Davis
- Jamar King
- O.J. Smith
- Da'Shawn Hand
- Terrell Hall
- Isaiah Buggs
- Quinnen Williams

The positive to some of the injuries this year was Evans and Tony Brown got a lot of significant playing time. And, by the end of the year, a lot of those 2nd team defensive line guys were playing really significant minutes. Hand and Frazier played a lot the last month.

I wouldn't rule out Allen or Cowan yet in the linebacker rotation. They can both rush the passer

Time for Hand to step and live up to the hype.

I wouldn't be surprised if we brought in a Grad transfer on the DL.

Payne Hand and Buggs DL starters

Frazier Q Williams Jennings next men up on DL. (I think Jennings moves to DE)

Hall Miller Evans Wilson/Davis starters (Hamilton will need time to come back imo)

Moses Allen Cowan and Benton next men up at LB.

Harrison and Jones starting safeties.

Averrett Fitzpatrick and Brown starting corners.

Carter Knott and Thompson next men up in the secondary.

You don't think Hall puts on enough weight to move to DE? Isn't he already over 260.

I think quinnen Williams is going to be a pleasant surprise. Word was he could have been in the rotation this year on pure talent but pushed for a redshirt to refine his technique. I'm not worried about the dline really. We've got the horses to be great again, not so good as this year but still great

I don't doubt that you heard that but the kid had issues early in the year. Do you really think a competitive player would request a redshirt especially when we needed depth on the line this year?

Allen was also talking about how good he was in practice.

That's great. I know our starting 3 will be very good but depth wasn't as good this year and I am not sure how it will work out next year. It would help to land Solomon and Mathis from La and both are projected in the class.

I think our defense will be surprisingly good , we had so many young guys who were on the cusp of being really good this year. Combine that with the fact I think our offense may go completely off and be really good.

Anyone think R. Davis is going to be a force in the middle? In extremely limited action I saw him get some good push a couple times.

I've heard, he will consume teams with fireballs from his eyes and bolts of lightning from his arse.
