I think he's more talented than Ridley as long as he's healthy. We are going to be stacked at WR.

Do you think he is gonna be similar to what he was last year coming from having a torn rotator cuff, because some players dont come back the same as what they were?

I haven't forgotten. I think most of us are looking forward to this stacked receiving corps. Ridley and Stewart should get better (key word being should, slumps happen) and this is a big year for Foster and his NFL prospects. He has the talent, it's time to put it all together. Those three, plus OJ Howard, are as good a collective top 4 targets as any QB in the nation will have.

I fear we don't have the QB playing that can take advantage of that Bama will still win but I think if people are expecting a show due to the WR corp they will be disappointed.

Man, if we somehow field a capable quarterback I expect a huge year for Foster, Ridley and Stewart. There is no reason why he can't lead all pass catchers this year. He's tall, he is a sub 4.4 runner and he's been in this pro-style offense for years now.

With those guys to throw to, only Barnett or Hurts (the latter of which will likely redshirt) would have much of an excuse, youth, for not playing above average. Cornwell hasn't thrown a pass in a game that I recall, so him too, to an extent. Bateman has minimal experience, so I'd give him a pass for a few games.

It really would suck to have the nation's best WR group with a beast at TE and not have a QB that can get them the ball. This really is a year where records should fall in the passing game. Even LSU found a way to feed Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckem Jr.

With our depth and experience at Wr.
It might be the reason that Jalen Hurts could land at 2nd on the depth chart.
To be Honest if derrick Henry had returned I would had no problem with Hurt being the starter.
Its true that a solid running game protects inexperience Qb/passing game. But with O.j Howard and Gehrig Dieter along with our top 3 wr's..
It may come down to how well Bo and Harris play.
Yet Hurts read option does add a punch to the running game on 3rd and say 3-4 yards needed.

Reality wise I cant see Saban going with a true freshmen , when he does have batmen coming back with some vet game experience..

Vol fans who saw Dieter play describe him as seemingly having more arms than an octopus. I expect him to be better than Mulaney...and that's saying something.

I don't care if he is a bastard. Foster blood runs through his veins.

I hate giving a QB the keys just because he's older. Barnett or Hurts could murder the SEC with the weapons around them.

Plus they'd practice against our 1st team defense, so technically they'd be battle tested before game 1 to an extent.

I am confident in Saban's ability in finding the right QB to run our offense in 2016. He hasn't let us down yet in that regard. If that QB's name is Cooper Bateman then so be it. If that QB's name is Jalen Hurts then so be it.

I can't believe we're entering the 10th season with Saban running the show and people still believe he won't give the keys to the guy he thinks will give Bama the best chance to win.

If Bateman gets the nod it won't be due to his age. It will be a result of Nick thinking he won the job - and at this point it is pretty damned clear that Nick's got a pretty good idea about what makes a winning QB.

Nope, all the armchair QB coaches know more, from the 1 scrimmage they watched, than Coach saban and staff.

The newest back up is always the best and should start. You know he did play great in that controlled scrimmage. LOL, nobody get rustled. RTR!
