Strange situation with his arm. If his arm was fine, why was he held out of passing drill during the last media viewing period?

Glad to hear they are hungry. Hope they can turn it around.

Everyone has asked why he threw the ball to oj and his reply was simple

I don't think anyone is asking that, they are asking how OJ allowed to let it get intercepted when he is huge and has position. If he cant catch the ball he needs to play defense on that play and swat it away. But that play was just the final straw on a bad game by OJ that also had 2 dropped balls and at least 2 other penalties. OJ apparently isn't ready yet to be the all American TE we were hoping for. I guess we will just have to accept who he is and hope he can get to the next level in 2015.

This loss is the best thing that could have happened to the team.

We're going to obliterate Arkansas and Tennessee. Honestly, A&M and LSU aren't looking that good. A&M's O could give us trouble, but if we get after Hill we stop him. He isn't good under pressure. Their D sucks. And LSU's D isn't very good, but that game is in Death Valley.

This loss didn't surprise me.

Thanks for posting.

From the team's perspective, how is this loss different than Auburn/OU? You would think that those losses would have provided all the motivation needed. Do they treat every year as different, believing that the issues that led to the AU/OU losses would fix themselves?

That's kind of my question. After the disaster ending to last year, you'd think it wouldn't take a loss to Ole Miss to restore our focus and hunger.

Chattabama, they pick and chose what to show The media take it for what it is.

Teams respond in different ways with different leaders. Blake is the heart and soul of this team and he feels like he failed them. But instead of crawling into a hole he wants to destroy everyone and everything related to football. The ou loss was not that big a deal to our team quite honestly. Auburn was a kick in the nuts to a team who's chemistry was one step away from disaster. I like our chances going forward, we may pull this together.

People are mixed about the last throw that's why I said something.

What is the overall situation with the leadership on defense? Some say Landon, but I have read that he is pretty quiet. He's not the type to get in your face if you do something wrong. Trey could be a possibility, but his getting in NCAA trouble to start the season doesn't exactly bode well for a leader.

Honestly I don't know about the defense I have heard Allen and reed are very vocal about getting on to people. Landon likes his play to speak, he needs to get loud I know that.

Dickson is quietly having a great season. He's a vet, does he speak up?

It should be blatantly obvious why lots of things are held out of a media viewing period. How much of the wishbone do you think was on display in any "media viewing period" in August, 1971? Whether Sims was at 50% or 100%, it would be foolish to divulge that to your opponent.

We didn't install any secret offense over the bye week unless the game plan was to look lost, drop passes, miss blocks, and field bad snaps.

I understand if he is not healthy you don't want them to know that. If the game plan was to make OM think he was injured and then have him come out firing on all cylinders we surely botched that one. I'm trying to remember the last time Saban had a qb not throw during the media viewing period when the qb was 100% healthy.

OM looked to be in their base D most of the game so I am not sure how we could not have played smash mouth football. They very seldom had more players then usual in the box.

You serious? An over-the-shoulder catch doesn't work like that. If you've ever had to attempt to catch one you'd know that. It wasn't OJ's fault.

Sims was definitely off and likely because we finally faced a defense that could challenge us. But Sims was still our best option. This team makes too many mistakes with fumbles and penalties. It has been that way in every game this season; we finally player a really good team able to take advantage of it and still could have won.

I can only tell you what I hear and Blake said he was fine. Obviously the ole miss defense is good and caused issues.
