A new starting QB going up against the best and most sophisticated defense he will see until he gets to the NFL, doesn't bode well for USC. Plus, we all know what Saban's defenses do to pro style offenses.
USC won't have the depth on the DL too hold up against Bama's rushing attack.
This game will look a lot like the Michigan game in 12.

I honestly just want Alabama's defense to dominate and give the offense a short field all night. Make it an easy opener for the O to get their feet wet.

I think they just see the name USC and expect them to be really good. I would be surprised if they manage two touchdowns, but our offense will be sloppy like in the last two season openers.

Well, they have had top 10 recruiting classes almost every year for the past 4 years(2013 they were top 15) with 1 number one class, and one number 4 class.
They have talent, no doubt.
Furthermore, our offense will be green in some important areas, and I don't remember the last time we had an offense with a new QB light the world on fire in their first start. Add in the fact that we have an immediate target on our back because we are Alabama and everyone wants to beat us. I just can't see a blowout in this game.

As long as Bama's QB doesn't turn the ball over like crazy, I don't see how USC can stay in the game. Bama has two huge advantages in this game.

Bama will run the ball at will in this game, especially in the 2nd half. Whoever the QB is for Bama will probably only have around 150 passing yards, simply because Bama won't need to pass in the game. Also, Bama has had a target on their back since 09 and they doesn't seem to help the other team. Bama is only 72-10 since the start on the 10 season.
This USC team is no where near as talented as they were when Pete Carrol was over there and they would need to be to stay in this game.
This Bama team is as talented and experienced as any Carrol had at USC.
