When we lose the next two, that means no NIT bid, right?

I don't even think Avery wants them to go to the NIT

I really don't know if we'll win another game. We'll probably sneak a win in there somehow tho. I'm gonna say we finish 17-14. Then we may get in the NIT and we'll lose and finish 17-15. Worse than last year.

Serious question, do we come in to each game with a game plan? It sure doesn't look like it. Seems like we show up and want to see what the other team is going to do and try to fix it at halftime. That's not how this is supposed to work

No excuses next year, we should've made the NCAA tournament this year.

I think we have a decent set of players now. Just no offense. At least nothing consistent. How many layups did we miss tonight? Geez. It seems they move the ball, just can't make the shot. We have been plagued in year's past with terrible rebounding. not this year. We are a great rebounding team. But we still suck. So frustrating.

Even Avery has given up on this team.Did you see the expression on his face throughout the game?
Exasperation.Disbelief.

One thing though the schedule maker really messed up,making us travel after a Thursday game?Sure our players were exhausted.

Also Texas A&M shot 37 FT's to our 9.Which is where this game was won and lost.

I saw that too. Didn't really like how he was sitting there with his head in his hand and just shaking his head BUT I don't really blame him bc that is some terrible basketball and there was nothing fun or positive about tonight

Yes, it is his fault he inherited a shitty roster with no scorers.

Serious question but for discussion only.

I repeat, I am not unhappy with Avery at all.

But for discussion sake, I noticed today that Minnesota is now 22-7 and 3rd in the Big 10 and going Dancing most likely. The year we hired Avery, the Gophers went 8-23, 2-16 in conference. Richard Petino's name came up during our search and I think he was maybe looking to get out. This year he has UM rolling. Would he have done as well in Tuscaloosa? I don't think he would have, but it's an interesting what if.

I doubt he would've done good here. I think there were 3 good choices and we got one of them. Avery, Marshall, and Mike White.

Thank God I didn't watch this thing. We held both teams we played this week to 60 or less, and still lost both games. Can't fault our guys effort on the defensive end, but we just don't have any guys with killer instinct out there. We need some guys with swagger on this team.

Also, boxing is insanely fun live. God damn all three fights were entertaining.

Cecil Hurt on when our 2017 class will arrive on campus:

Bama needs someone like Obasohan this year. Fudge the NIT.

We needed Averys enthusiasm due to Anthony program killer Grant. He did things promoting the program above and beyond what anyone else would've done.

Avery may not not be the best x and o coach, but he understands he needs horses, and they are coming next yr.

By chance, did anybody see the Collins kid trying to make an inbounds pass on the baseline in front of the Alabama bench? As always, A&M had a 6'9" guy defending the passer and there was no way that Collins could pass over the guy. Of course A&M tips and intercepts the pass for a runout at the other end. To me, that play worries me as much about our future as anything I've seen on the court .
