A little old school band party Friday night at Soulshine in Nashville before the Bama - Vandy scrap. Featuring Blues Old Stand and our homeboys Secondhand Jive. Music starts at 9.
On Division Street near the Vandy campus. Cool venue to get your early 90s era Ivory Tusk on.
BOS will be at Innisfree in Bham Saturday night as well

Blues Old Stand and Second Hand Jive were playing in Tuscaloosa when I started school in the the late 90's. Do college bar bands ever stop?

Most do. Others like to get together every now and then and have a good time in cool places. Keeps the juices flowing, man. These shows happen once or twice a year. Last year, it was a benefit for Kerry Goode's foundation.

haha...I used to play in some bands (Highly Kind, Old School) in the mid 90s that played the usual southeastern college scene, and we were on several bills with those bands. We played the Booth, the Tusk, and whatever the place in the old train depot was called quite a bit...and of course frats. We were playing in Tuscaloosa the night Jerry died.
I got out of the music business in 2000. I can't believe those guys are still kicking it.
