Those officials should never be allowed to call another game

Bruce pearl practically called the game for them. He told them when to go to the monitors, what foul to call and then had to point out that he just got our starting point guard fouled out. College officials are exponentially worse than NBA, but tonight was unreal.

Agreed. I've not seen worse officiating in over four decades of watching college b'ball. It was basically Bama's five against eight all game long. Truly pathetic. Roll Tide, glad the Tide could hang on.

It's not out of the ordinary for a coach to ask the officials to go to the monitor fwiw

I know it's not, but Bruce worked them over tonight. I've never seen a crew that bad as a whole that I can remember.

I wish Grant would show that type of effort.

For fricks sake.

Oh and I forgot, Roll Tide. This win was huge for our season. If we lost tonight, then this season might have fallen fast and hard. They would have lost a lot of interest in the team and attendance would have dropped big time.

None of us watching on tv could tell what happened on the Tarrant foul that got him his second technical, I'm talking about numerous charges and blocking fouls that were not called. And reach-ins. And at least two fouls that were called against Randolph that were clean blocks.

I think what happened with Tarrant was that Nortis got knocked and Tarrant said something to the Auburn player resulting in a tech. That's the only thing that made sense. I don't know. I was there and we were all confused the whole time.

I'm not even talking about the Tarrant incident; I'm talking about every other ridiculous call or non-call. TERRIBLY officiated game - as I said, the worst in my lifetime.

Auburn flopped when they didn't have the ball and rode our guys like racehorses. And Pearl might as well have worn a striped shirt.

Tarrant let them get in his head though.

Grant is capable of being extremely intimidating, and has gotten riled up a couple times. But, he could definitely do it some more, a lot more. Technicals can hurt your team, but a technical last night after that ridiculous second Tarrant tech call would not have been the worst time to show more fire. Even if it was the correct call, those refs could not have handled it more poorly.

For the refs to call it a foul in real-time, and then go back to change their call because of a flop and bitching is just garbage. That place would've erupted last night seeing Grant earn a real technical. But a las, they were left to merely cheer for Tarrant only.

I almost never complain about officiating (especially on message boards), but that was awful last night. Auburn seemed to be able to rough house our guys all night and we had so many questionable off the ball fouls that I don't blame Tarrant for getting frustrated. We won in the end, so luckily it doesn't matter I guess.

They didn't change their call. The foul on the Auburn player remained, and they called it a dead ball flagrant foul on Tarrant. It was a terrible call, and the officiating was pretty bad Saturday. The worst was the no call on Harrell for Auburn for nearly clothes-lining Cooper on a rebound. It was like we were playing on the road there were so many questionable calls that didn't go our way. But we won, so no complaints here.

Pretty funny, barners are blaming the officials too. But as usual, they really just grasp for things when they lose to 'Bama.

Those officials were terrible.
