After seeing Siran Stacy's little speech at a Roy Moore rally, I got to thinking about that day roughly 9 years ago. Everything about that day was so freaking perfect. We came into the game undefeated, Auburn had to win in order to finish .500 or better, and they came in with a six game winning streak in the series. Then these four things happened that made it an absolute game to remember:

Sara Evans National Anthem

Siran Stacy pumps up the crowd after the coin toss

The Game Itself

Rammer Jammer

I'll remember those moments until the day I die. Truly. A legendary game.

The extra long Rammer Jammer at the end was the most emotional, visceral Rammer Jammer I have ever heard/participated in. Even more so than the 2005 Rammer Jammer against Tennessee.

The entire 4th quarter was a fvckin party.

2008 was my freshman year at Alabama, and the Greg McElroy to Maze throw for the final score is one of my favorite Alabama football memories.

My van window. My son (8 at the time) and I went and it was glorious.

My favorite play was when I think it was Eryk Anders sacked Kodi Burns and drove him back like 10 yards before he went down.

Think mine was Bobby Greenwood blocking the FG. The stadium went nuts.

That was my grad school year. I'd been in school for 5 of the 6 losses in a row. That game was orgasmic.

The best game I ever attended was BAMA vs UGA in 94. Stadium was rocking. Most sections were standing the whole game. Zeier (spelling?) and Barker lit it up. Bama made a big comeback and won the game late.

That was an amazing game, and an unforgettable night. It was so hazy/foggy the entire day, made for a cool setting. The whole student section was foaming at the mouth. Mcelroy>Maze was a great way to end it too.

The Last Waltz Ensemble played at the Phi Gam house after the game, and we had a helluva time.

That was an awesome game. It sort of cemented the direction of both programs and kind of signaled officially a new era in the state. The Siran Stacy moment was incredible. Very moving.

Auburn hasn't really had much of a direction since that game. They've been all over the place.
