Seriously when was the last time Bama has loss to Ole Miss two years straight? When has a Saban coached team dropped 2 games to the same team back to back seasons. It's Ole Miss for Christ sakes. They have put up 70 two weeks straight against who?

But but we had a bad game against MTSU. Don't you know that means we'll be lucky to get to 6 wins this year?

Ha, I know right, if Coker would had played the 2nd half we would had scored at least 2 more TDs. We put it on cruise control after the 2nd qtr

Our QBs looked like they couldn't put up 70 against air today.

I know you can't look great in every game, but there are holes that have been there for awhile and ignoring them won't make them go away. RT play looked atrocious, and our kicking game is worse than terrible. We potentially have a solution for RT (Lester Cotton), but we have jack shite to compete with Griffith at kicker. A lackluster offense with a nonexistent kicker does not equal titles.

I still think Griffins' kicking today was an anomaly. I'm not expecting him to improve overnight but I do expect some improvements over the next week.

I agree with the kicking game, that is obvious. Henry is a beast, and Drake is no slouch, we just need for Coker to be a game manager like Gmac was, and not lose the game for us.

I know we like to look fondly back on GMac as if all he had to do was handoff, but he actually had to step up and win a few games for us, including the SECCG. I don't think we have the kind of team or play in the kind of league where we can simply have a QB that is not an asset.

I was ecstatic about this team last week after Wisconsin. But after we were exposed a bit today, I have to say I honestly don't see how we'll beat Ole Miss. Nkemdiche could line up over Dom Jackson and pressure Coker every play. And he plays like crap when he's uncomfortable. And Henry showed he is still having trouble running around the LOS, so our O-line will have to play solid to open him up.

And Ole Miss may not put up 70 on us, but they're running the spread effectively, and it'll be hell on our LBs. I think we can beat every other team on our schedule, but this one is just looking like a horrible matchup for us.

What have you seen or heard that has lead you to think this? If you think people are overreacting by expecting to lose to Ole Miss, then what in the holy hell do you call this statement?

I'm in no way expecting him to start making 40+ yard field goals, but kicks like that 29 yarder I feel like he could make more often than not.

Would I feel confident in him kicking a game winning field goal? Nope. But I'm not ready to give up on him yet.

Bama fans worried about playing Ole Miss?
Did hell just freeze over? Bama has always struggled in the 2nd game of the season since 08 when they open the season with a big non conference game.
Tulane- had like 60 yards rushing
Florida International- trailed 14-13 at one point
Western Kentucky- Best O-line in college football gives up six sacks
Texas A&M- Gave up a million yards
Last year against FAU was the exception.

And that game was cancelled due to rain.

You are right in that no one should be surprised in what happened today. If you followed any news at all through spring and fall camps, you knew that the biggest mark against Coker is is consistency. The first 2 real games have now confirmed that. Because of that, I don't think that being concerned about playing an Ole Miss team that's averaging 70 a game is as outlandish as you sunshine pumpers act like it is. And don't give me that shite about Saban wanting revenge. Of course he does. But I would think that he would prepare the team just as hard for this game even if we had won last year.

Griffith is absolutely a lost cause. Once again, if anyone can point to something they have seen to suggest otherwise, then let's hear it.

Do I think the sky is falling? No, but I try to go by what I see on the field. If I can't be concerned about OM because of what I saw today, then get out of here with this Finebaum caller "I just think they'll turn it around because this game is circled on the calendar" logic.

I don't think those predicting a loss next weekend are just negative nancies either. I actually think Ole Miss may be our only regular season loss, with a chance of losing to one of TENN/UGA/LSU. OM is the only game where I feel we're just not built to win.

Yes OM has better than a punchers chance at beating Bama. They concern me more than any team on the schedule.

It wasn't. Going back to last year, Griffith is 5/15. Unfortunately, making field goals has become the anomaly for him.

It's not just that Ole Miss scored 70.

It's that they did it passing and pass D seems to be a weak point for us.

We'll see. Roll Tide.

Ole Miss was supposed to have a major weakness at QB this year but in two games it has turned into a strength or seems to be. Our experiment at QB is still a question mark.So as of now the advantage has moved to the Missus. But the game is in Tuscaloosa and we have a bad taste in our mouths from last year. It would take a herculean effort for Johnnies to beat us.
