I don't blame the officials for the loss because on both pick plays for TDs we put them in position to score. BUT on both occasions it was indefensible because the receiver took out both DBs.

You're right it's dang near impossible to defend...but Humphrey did say after the game that, in hindsight, he should've peeled off of his man and covered Renfro...but he said that wasn't the coverage that was called...

I thought Bama should have used a timeout with 6 seconds to set up their D.

Teague, where were the slant routes to Ridley or Steward?

You mean the ones that were batted up at the line of scrimmage or the ones that were dropped? Did you even watch the game? I specifically remember Stewart getting drilled by the linebacker and dropping a slant pass right at the first down marker.

One of those batted passes was a pass to the flats to Bo.

Dont blame the refs. Do blame the coaches. All these analysts and grad assistant we have and we don't adjust. Like an ump in baseball, the strike zone is what it is and the pitcher adjust to it. Not our HC.

There is nobody to blame. We lost to a fantastic team with a fantastic QB on the last play of the game.

It hurts, but it happens. That's how sports work.

There were just a few too many execution errors that killed a few of our drives. And, there's always questioning of play calls and adjustments we could've made. As they say, hind sight is 20-20.

All of that said, one thing I just did not get is why we went hurry-up so much. Imo, we should've been using as much clock as possible between snaps, especially after Bo was injured. Such an easy change to make. And if it had been made, we likely would've won.
