Something to watch for with 2016 team

Could the 2016 team be the first team under Saban to average 500 ypg on offense or better while having a dominant defense, similar to 2011 and 2015?
Also, I think Bama needs to retain a physical rushing attack that pounds defenses into submission

Could be, but we don't even know who will be the starting QB, and we don't have a proven RB on the roster.

Easy, now! No point in getting all crazy with your opinions. I think you'll find most Bama fans are proponents of Ken Darby's senior-season approach to the running game, in which you just tiptoe up to the line of scrimmage and then wait to be tackled there.
I mean, if we start using a physical rushing attack, we might screw up and win some national championships or something.

The same things were being said about the 2010 team

Since we have never had a 500 yd a game season, I am willing to bet next year won't be the year. Asking for a record setting offense at your school when u have a lot of questions in the backfield isn't fair. Possible, but not very fair.

Hard to go for 500 yards without a QB throwing for 250-300 per game. There is no evidence to support the idea that we have that for 2016. We actually have one of the more uncertain QB situations in the Power 5.
The QB will have lots of assets around him, but a "deer in the headlights" won't hit passes to Ridley, Howard, Foster, and Stewart. Spring will be very interesting and I'm rooting for Barnett to look comfortable and confident.
I don't want to be like UGA fans who seem to really believe that a true freshman Eason is an improvement at QB. More often than not, freshman QBs are a great way to go 7-5.

Bama will relay on a improved O-line and a running game behind 3 running backs while a unproven QB takes shots every now and then. Basically like this year. Coker got better as the season went on, too bad Coker doesn't have another year.

I vote Bateman. Let Kiffin work his magic on him this off season

We BETTER take advantage of having Howard. Huge having him back though, more experienced players come back the better
