i need a positive football thought right now because all I can think about it Henry being invisible for 3 quarters, Coker throwing ducks, and Eddie Jackson falling over his feet next season...

I'm not worried about the QB, because Kiffin has proven that he can turn a marginal QB into a winner. If the stud freshman RB is the Lacy clone he seems to be in terms of physicality, that will be a huge help. Drake is back.

I can't help you with Jackson, though. But don't worry. Funky Tide will be along soon to convince you that Jackson will become another Dee Milliner.

Nastiest front 7 in college football, a much, much improved group of CBs, and somebody steps up and fills in fine at S for LC.

Kiffin works with Coker over the offseason, Coker has a big spring as well as the WRs. The RB group will be maybe the deepest it's ever been under Saban, and the OL will look improved in spring and in August heading into camp with Robinson and Kelly back (2 solid OL back at maybe the most vital spots on the OL)

In a nutshell, this team will be better and deeper top to bottom. We will have the team and talent to get back, but the team will have to want it.

Hope this helps

He'll either get it together or be invisible on the bench watching the other RBs

Coker throwing ducks

Can't do that and win the job

Brown and Humphrey putting it on lockdown. Jackson will be at safety. Ragland, Evans. our DL... D gonna eat. Drake gonna kill on O.

Also, look for this offense to be much more efficient. Since Cooper is gone, kiffin will have to spread the ball around more. Which will make this offense more balanced and harder to defend.

We won't get back there until we have and stay committed to a physical running game. We've have gone away from what won us three national championships.

Oh yeah, we need a new secondary as well.

Ok lets hear it then, guy.

Why is he so horrible and a reason why we wont be in contention next year?

There's some parallels between 2009 and 2015:

-New QB
-New RB
-3 New OL
-New TE
-Had a school record breaking 1st team AA at WR the previous year
-Returned entire DL
-Returned Best LB
-Under appreciated CB
-CB coming off a bad season
-Senior starter at FS
-New Starter at SS

I admit I stretched to find something for WR, but it's not untrue. Difference being one returned, despite having a down year in 2009.

People said the same thing about Cyrus Jones

And Menzie
and Belue
and Milliner
What about Alshon dragging Dre K all around the field in 2010.

Eddie tore his ACl in fricking April! Started 4 games in 13 showed some streaks of greatness, showed some youth as well. Got hurt and never really got back into the lineup.

Worked his way back into the lineup this past year and looked pretty much the same, some streaks of greatness and some pretty bad. I dont think he was 100% at any point past the OM game in 13.

In fact that may be problem and why I could be wrong about him. A full off season to train and practice while healthy could be what transforms him to the best we have had here.

I want to believe and I will definitely not be as judgmental since cyrus jones really made me eat crow but let's be honest here. What greatness has EJ shown this year. Not being a smart arse. I wanna see some NFL esq plays

The guys over at BOL seem pretty confident in Eddie Jackson making a significant jump next year like Cyrus did.

I'd be more inclined to give up on Jackson if this season wasn't his 2nd year in the system. Expectations are high, rightfully so, but it's easily forgotten that he's a just a true sophomore.

A lot of Bama's CBs bloom in their 3rd years, they took their lumps early and became better players for it.

Jackson's struggles get magnified because his mistakes are some of the most notable ones this past season. Same with Dre Kirkpatrick in 2010, everyone remembers the Jeffery 1 handed catch on him. What they don't remember is Jeffery did most of his damage against other members of the Bama secondary. Dre just gave up a 9 yard completion to him otherwise. Vinnie Sunseri, albeit a safety, had a similar rep.

I'm not sure what the future holds for Jackson, but I'm not convinced the book is closed on him.

The Ole Miss game his freshman season really skyrocketed expectations for him

Bama was within a touchdown of the eventual national champion this season and they return more people than they have in quite some time.
