Am I the only Bama fan that is happy for both?
I almost always cheer for UAB and Gottfried did many good things for Bama as a player and coach.

I don't think anyone is pissed off that UAB is doing well...
I think most of us are pretty indifferent towards Gottfried and NC State.

If for some unforeseeable, unbelievable, incredible, insurmountable event that NC State wins the National Title...... Then... for the first time I will be arse hurt about Gottfried not being at Alabama..... More in a that son of a bitch kind of way...

The guy had become lazy and complacent in his last few years at Bama. The reset button needed to be hit for both parties. Unfortunately, our basketball program came out on the wrong end.

Agreed. And it's hard for me to root for UAB after so many people took advantage of that situation as a platform to spew shite about Alabama, as if we were all rooting for their football program to get shut down.
