I know Henry is getting a lot of well deserved pub but what about the these guys? Will either be able to get reps? RS?

Both are doing fine so far. Henry obviously has the upperhand on them, and Tyren Jones has been talked about as the most complete Freshman back at this stage in terms of speed, power, moves, vision, etc.

Do you think that with Fowler, Yeldon, and Henry that at least one of the others gets a redshirt? It's still kind of stupid that y'all got Jones on top of the other three.

Well, I'd think one would RS, but it's tough to tell.

Yeldon is obviously the guy.

Henry is gonna play.

Fowler will play FB/H-Back too, I'm not sure how much RB work he sees.

Drake will see carries.

Hart is gonna work on PR, but is still a RB. I don't think he'll be what he could have been though, at least not this year coming off of those injuries.

I'm just gonna say none of them RS, and if any do, I think it'd be Kamara. Alvin has a good skill set and all, but I'm just penciling him in as the worst good player.

But I think none RS. Yeldon is the main guy. Fowler, Henry, and Drake fight for second back carries all year, maybe just Henry/Drake with Fowler exclusively playing FB/H-Back, and then the rest split carries in blowouts, which will be every game other than the LSU and Ole Miss game, in my opinion.

While you're here, tell me what OM's defense will look like. I'm sure you guys return almost everyone, but what kind of PT will the new guys see, and RN is a starter, right?

Tenpenny's running style reminds me a lot of Richardson.

Drake to me is way faster than people give him credit for.

Yeah, to me he's a fast make you miss guy, but doesn't have a lot of power. He and Henry, in my opinion, would play off of each other well if they shared the role of second back.

He's the guy I'm most excited about. I like the way he runs. He cuts really well, he stops and starts well, and looks like he's got pretty good power.

Yeah, I think it's the low center of gravity that can make shorter backs more fun to watch. They get too tall and it affects their cutting and stop/ start ability.

He's going to get playing time immediately but you won't see him start at least not against Vandy. CJ Johnson(led the team in sacks as a true sophomore last year) and Cameron Whigham(SR with a couple of sacks and TFLs last season) will start instead.

You'll see him move around inside and out too. He's large enough to play inside of CJ in pass rushing situations and in certain packages he plays DE across from Channing Ward and CJ can stand up(CJ's natural position he was the top ranked MLBer in 2011 IIRC). He's just so polished coming out.

We've got a couple of guys at DT that can make plays although our freshman AA Isaac Gross is recovering from a sports hernia. Hopefully he's at full speed by Bama. The other guys are Woodrow Hamilton(really has come on) and the Number 1 JUCO DT in Lavon Hooks.

We return both LBs in Nkemdiche and Marry. We also return both safeties and corners. Our secondary depth really is the weakest part of our defense. Outside of Sawyer and Golson we have a bunch of young guys with little experience behind them. The safety situation is better. Connor is a grown arse man. He gets caught peeking a lot but he's got the physicality in run support that's elite. Brown, Elston, Priutt and if by some miracle Alford gets his waiver, round out the back.

That's probably the most I've ever typed in one post

There really isn't a proven "powerful RB" outside of Fowler. Yeldon falls forward, but he doesn't plow through people either.

There were time where they said Drake looked better than Yeldon in the spring, making big plays. He's a mini Yeldon IMO, except he wasn't as far along as a 3rd down back(though healthy Lacy didn't give much up to Yeldon). Getting suspended for 2 games didn't help much in the eyes of Saban.

I think 2 redshirt, between Jones and Tenpenny for not. Jones is farther along prep wise(despite being last on reps), but Tenpenny has more athleticism. Wouldn't be surprised to see Kamara moonlight elsewhere, along with being scout team MVP.

They better be hepping my FF teams, drafted the D in both leagues.

One of the best defenses statistically that returns a large amount of starters. They were like 11th in sack, and now they add a great DL class.

Pitt was closely behind in my research...

I think we will have more sacks. We were second in the SEC with less talented DTs. We had 38 and I expect to surpass that if we stay healthy.

Pass coverage was like 80th though, yet they were higher in passes defensed. Seems like a decent enough defense to get points for INTs and sacks, which can equal a higher amount of FFs.

Like I said in that novel I wrote our secondary wasn't any good but had a decent amount of INTs. I really don't know what to expect out of that group. Hopefully the DLine can help them out.

Big play defense. They make big plays, and give up big plays.
