For those of you who are too young to remember, Sherman Williams was a star running back at Alabama from 1991-1994. In his senior season he rushed for over 1,300 yards and helped lead the Tide to a 12-1 Top 5 finish.

While at Alabama, however, he also was delving into drugs. That activity continued into his professional career and eventually landed him 14 years in prison. He's out now and is actively working to make sure today's youth do not follow in his footsteps.

He has written a book and will be signing it across the street from Cowboy Stadium on Saturday.

Good for him. I remember him playing, but didn't know about all the rest.

Good to hear. I was there from '90-'94, so I watched him run his arse off.

Just another one of those situations where you wonder what in the hayl was Sherman thinking, but sincerely wish him the best, the most unique running back at Bama I've ever seen. Sherman could stop and change directions on a dime.

Maybe I'm just young, but JJ is my my all-time favorite RB/coke dealer. I'm too young to remember Sherman.
