Last year was down by SEC standards but with so many QB's returning I see this being a huge year for the SEC. Or as our Prez would say a Yuge year.

off the cuff

Bama should see no drop off
AU should be better. Their QB was the missing link last year
MSU should be better
TAMu and OM wont be better but maybe the same
ARK should be better.
The entire east including KENT and VA will be improved.

The east and the west may not be decided until the last week.

MSU should be better, but how improved is their defense going to be?

I also think people are underrating LSU this year because of Ed O. They're still in the upper echelon in the west in terms of talent.

I'd be shocked if the league wasn't much better this year. A lot of the 8-9 win teams last year should be 9-11 win teams this year (Georgia, Auburn, LSU). State will be entertaining (not sure how much better). Ole Miss will light somebody up.

OM defense from the "experts" will have trouble to stop anyone.

LSU is still suspect at the QB spot but will have a great run game.

AU may be the most well rounded team next to AU. IF they QB can stay on his feet they will be strong. They have an experienced line coming back.

I predict the east will be a dog fight. If UF has an above average QB they will be good. Got to get past the first game with all the suspensions. It would not surprise me if the SEC most if not all of their first couple of games vs the power 5.

Bama will be the same.

Georgia and Kentucky will be better.

I expect everyone else to be about the same or worst then last year.

Look for 2018 to be the year the SEC returns to its former power.

Bama will be the elite.

Georgia wins the East. Florida starts to slide and Coach Mac feels some heat. Butch will be fired after another mediocre year. USCe will be improved and might make a bowl. UK goes bowling. Vandy is a tough out but they are still Vandy. Missou will suck.

Auburn will be dangerous and could win the West. LSU will lose one or two that they shouldn't. Same old Aggies-fast start, fade down the stretch. Bye Sumlin. Ole Miss will be just good enough to be dangerous if you sleep on them. State has 7-5 written all over them. Arkansas just can't get any traction and Bert is gone.

Really hope Aggie finally loses one early so the Bama tickets will be cheaper and easier to attain outside the stadium.

Conference should be better overall, but it's still Alabama and everybody else until proven otherwise. The only team that concerns me this year is Auburn. Their defense should be good and if this QB is legit, they'll be a top 10 team.
