Saban says "He doesn't ever see him leaving Alabama"

It seems like every offseason, Alabama head coach Nick Saban's name is mentioned for several top college and NFL openings across the country. That was the case when the Texas job became available, and it's happening again with the Indianapolis Colts' head coaching position possibly opening on the NFL's infamous Black Monday.

But in an interview with ESPN.com, Saban revealed if he would consider coaching elsewhere before retiring.

"No, I really don't. I don't see it ever happening, and I know every year somebody has me going somewhere else," Saban told ESPN.com's Chris Low. "I think a lot of it isn't just about the coaching part. What people don't understand is they forget you're a person. They forget you have a wife and two kids and a grandbaby, and they all live in Birmingham.

"They all work here. My wife goes to Birmingham five times a week. My mom lives in Birmingham now after moving from Myrtle Beach. It's not just the job. A lot of people don't get that. My life is here."

Saban also has his second-ranked Crimson Tide team in the second-ever, four-team College Football Playoff for a second consecutive year and is only two wins away from 100 career wins during his tenure in Tuscaloosa. If he defeats No. 3 Michigan State in the Cotton Bowl, Saban could obtain his 100th win in the national championship game in Arizona on Jan. 11.

Alabama and Michigan State will kick off in prime time on New Year's Eve from Arlington, Texas, at 7 p.m. on ESPN.
