Last night, as Watson kneeled and the confetti rained down, the announcers talked about how Clemson had "dethroned" Alabama and are now the "kings" of college football.

That's simply not the case.

Nick Saban would tell you there was no King of college football in 2016 until the clock expired and Clemson officially won the championship. They didn't detthrone anyone. Alabama was the king of 2015, not 2016.

Oh, and we were the king of 2012, 2011 and 2009 as well.

Which is all the proof necessary to know we're still the kings of college football. We've played in 5 championships and one semifinal in the past eight years, technically two semifinals if you count the 2008 SEC championship as a semifinal of sorts.

Our worst season had three losses and the other season not yet mentioned we lost on a last second play or we would have been in yet another championship.

Next year, we'll return basically the whole offense with a lot more experience and hopefully much improved. Our running attack should be lethal.

The defense will lose a lot of big players, but we have a lot of young guns and Saban has shown the ability to just reload.

Clemson will lose their superstar quarterback and feel the growing pains of using an inexperienced young QB. I doubt they're playing for the championship again next year.

Sometimes Jimmy Johnson doesn't win the cup. Tiger didn't win every major he played in.

But when it came time to make bets on them against the field, you'd better believe most people weren't taking the field. Sustained dominance is the sign of the real sports kings.

And there's no doubting that that's where we're at.

Roll Tide everyone. On to recruiting.

Bama can make it back next year.

Clemson can't without Watson.

Already have a hotel booked in Atlanta for the first weekend of September. Going to be fun watching order be restored.

" The football Gods can be mean sometimes."
There are plenty articles about great coaches were they all say "I should have won it with this team."
Because it was my best team."

This BAMA team did everything it could to over come adversity. But the football gods just said not now Nick as for catching the Bear.
After the game all I thought about is the season as a whole.

1.The wear & tear of like 26 in a row.
2.Being number one getting everybody best shot.
3.Barnett bailing out
4.Sheffield bailing out
5.Mo Smith saga
6.Losing our best RG
7.Losing Eddie Jackson our QB of the secondary.
8.losing Eddie who also was our best Punt returner.
9.The Kiffin jump ship.
10.But just when I though we still had a great puncher chance because I know we can run on Clemson.(14-0)lead.
Bo breaks his F**King leg.
11.Also some Very questionable calls.

The football Gods said it was not Saban's night.!
Don't mean to be sounding like excuses.
I Just really meant to show how proud I am of these Kids effort to over come all that and still bring home another title.

I ain't even mad about last night. Just way to much to overcome. Clemson had just a little more in the tank. I am proud of our guys and the job Nick did this year.

Of course I wanted it badly, but really DGAF because I know we will be back next year with a ton of new talent form another #1 recruiting class.
