Ya frick personal responsibility, we need a nanny state!

Not putting people in jail because of weed = nanny state and people not being responsible?

I don't even want to know where that one was pulled from. Are our only options Police state or Nanny State? Seems like a terrible selection to me.

Breaking laws=not being personally responsible

Plus drugs=degeneracy, we need to purge all (((degeneracy/degenerates))) to truly make America great again.

Well we have Jeff Sessions as AG who wants to double down on drug sentences because he is going to take the AG's office back to 1980.
Sessions is a complete embarrassment. I can't wait for his kind to die.

If that was the attitude of our country, we'd still be singing songs about the queen.

I believe the country you are looking for is called China.

That sounds poorly regulated to me.

Using your logic...just as the 2nd amendment says nothing about permits, it also says nothing about excluding specific types of arms.

I should be able to drive my car without wearing a seatbelt, but if I do, I get a ticket. So I wear my seatbelt.

You pose a risk to other people when you don't wear your seatbelt while driving.

It's fairly common for people that aren't wearing a seatbelt to hit and injure other passengers in the case of a collision. It's been known to be a contributing factor in some deaths.

If everyone in the car is ok about not wearing seat belts then it shouldn't be an issue and the government shouldn't get involved.

I don't think it should be mandatory to wear a motorcycle helmet either. If I want to risk my life then, that should be my business.
There are a lot of laws that I don't agree with, but I follow them because it's the law. Weed is illegal so I don't do it

It's one thing to do something that puts yourself in danger. It's another thing when you put the safety of others at risk.

Not wearing a helmet only puts me at risk. I don't like wearing it, but I do because it's the law.

Not wearing your helmet could also cost tax dollars, make traffic worse, etc.

Anything can "cause" that stuff to happen. Hypothetical situations can be used for anything. Bottom line is, you have to follow the law whether you agree with it or not.

Well those are the reasons why it is illegal. Weed should be treated just like alcohol.
