Is it confirmed he is done for the year?

If so this seems like a pretty big loss to me. I think he was stepping up better than Stewart to be the #1 big play WR threat on the team. Mullaney looks solid for the possession receiver role and Ridley will hopefully continue to develop some consistency. However between the two #1 guys coming into the season Foster/Stewart, Foster looked better to me.

Depth is getting a little thin with basically Stewart, Mullaney, Ridley the only legit WR targets. I have pretty much given up on Black and I'd be shocked if Sims actually is able to contribute this year.

What do you guys think of the WR situation? God we miss Cooper.

I like what I've seen from Ridley so far and I agree that Mullaney is a "possession" type guy. After those 2 I'm not sure what we have going forward. We can't seem to get the ball to Stewart downfield for various reasons so we aren't scaring anyone with the pass right now.

He's done.

I think Stewart is the hardest WR to get chemistry with, as both struggled to get him where he needs to be. Still a target vacuum, as I believe he leads the SEC in receptions.

Ridley looks like the guy they want to get in space, they targeted him a few times on screens. That reverse got shut down, but it was not on him. Definitely gonna see a lot more of him.

Noticed they lined Mullaney up at several spots, including FB and H-Back so they could sneak him into the flat. One play though, Rob Nkemdiche gets past Shank Taylor while Mullaney is passblocking at H-Back and Nkemdiche proceeds to lift Mullaney off his feet

I think the blocking from the WR spot and OJ flanked out has been subpar, a several plays have tanked this year due to mere execution. Foster threw a poor block against Ole Miss, and it let his man shoot right in and hit Henry at the line. Just an inconsistent group.

i am afraid Stewart will never become a consistent go to receiver with the routes he runs. On the positive side, OJ Howard seems to finally have realized his potential.

He was our best receiver so this sucks tremendously. He catches damn near every ball, is always positive in his running and blocks decently up the field.

What a loss.

Getting Ridley is huge in this regard, as I believe he is capable of quickly turning into a play maker.

Saban said Cam Sims is looking more and more ready to return. Could help fill the void left by Foster's absence.

I'd love to get Sims back for strictly his blocking, I guarantee screens would increase in success and yardage.
