He's the stereotypical scrappy white guy that gets after the ball.

But it seems Shannon Hale misses more shots than Riley.

Being a good rebounder is like being a good blocker. It's all about attitude and hustle and Riley seems to have the right mix of both.

The good thing we get from Norris that you don't get with other streaky shooters is his rebounds..

He doesn't need to hit 6 threes in a game (or however many it was a while back) to make an impact. He can be cold from the field like last night but still provide those rebounds.

I think he's just hit a cold streak here lately. Also could be because of playing on the road. Against Florida, he was 2-8. Before that, he reached double figures in 5 of the 6 games, while grabbing AT LEAST 5 rebounds.

Norris is a fun player to watch. It's crazy to think he's just a sophomore and will continue to progress. He and Coleman have improved tremendously since their freshman year.

Hale is the one I'm concerned about.

Finally, someone besides John Hannah that Albertville can be proud of.

He's soft...won't bang inside on the boards and won't give 100% like Norris going after rebounds. If you lean on him, he moves away from the contact. Kessons ain't much help either...not a D-1 player.

Kessens has regressed this year, and I'm not sure why. He has talent, but seems timid with the ball this year. We need him to develop, so hopefully he comes around. This is a fun team to watch, and if they continue to improve - even slightly - from game to game, they will be dangerous in the SEC and NCAA tourneys.

I love seeing a player like Norris. Dennis rodman is the best rebounder I ever saw. Many of them he got by never even jumping. He always kept himself between his man and the basket. That is how u position yourself to rebound. Now if everyone else on the team would do this maybe someone else could get some rebounds. Blocking out is a lost art. I don't understand why, but it is. It's natural if u keep yourself in good defensive position. Norris gets minutes because he plays fundamental defensive basketball.
