A lot of the other ones are having strong games tonight. Watson may just get it.

Watson or Henry.

I think he has a 55% chance winning.

If he eclipsed 2k, I think he would have been a shoe in.

Henry will barely lead in first place votes, but will get lots of seconds which will pad his lead.

Henry and Watson splitting the south may hurt him. Mccaffery did work tonight in prime time (so did Watson). This ones going to be close.

Ingram's Heisman Ballot:

1. Derrick Henry
2. King Henry II
3. DH2

I feel confident he gets it.

I did, but no longer. I think folks were looking for a reason to give it to someone else.

Watson had a monster game tonight. He is by far the biggest threat to Henry. But, I think the fact that Derrick Henry broke a 34 year old record today held by a legend should hold a ton of regard.

CM will win the West and possibly the mid west. Watson will probably get the east and Henry the South. Either way, it's going to be super close.

I remember the last time a Clemson Heisman contender put up monster numbers in the ACC Championship game. CJ Spiller looked great in those NYC photo shoots with Mark Ingram.

Yeah but Spiller wasn't
1. A QB
2. The MVP of the undefeated(last one left) TOP ranked team.

McCaffrey just broke the FBS record of all purpose yards.....Over 3k yards.

Watson went off for 420 yards + 5 TDs

Henry was pedestrian to those today. Like I mentioned if he hit 2k in the SEC Regular season. He would have another talking point. 16 yards or so is going to make a difference.

ETA: Corrected the 3k remark rather than 4k

1. Henry
2. Mccaffrey
3. Watson

Kinda like in 09, Ingram had to beat out a Stanford RB.

I haven't seen McCaffrey play a whole lot, so let me say this.

How many times has he crossed the 25 yard line on his 36 Kickoff Returns? Because honestly you should lose yardage if it could have been a touchback but you returned it and can't get it to the touchback line. JMO.

I'm not sure. He has played some weaker teams but 3,250 all purpose yards is pretty damn good.

Was anyone except on the west coast watching that game? They weren't going into the playoffs. I was 80 Mich St/Iowa 20 Clemson/UNC and I think most of the country was as well.

Henry was the front runner going into the weekend and people said Henry would either have to have an extremely weak game while the others had blockbusters or Bama lost for him not to win.

He got almost 200 yds versus the #4 rushing D in the country while beating Herschel Walker's SEC rushing record. 90 carries in his last 2 games.

You're telling me he goes from front runner to also ran based on that?

Joe Tess said going into the weekend Henry had a bigger lead than Cam or Jameis did at this point. It would take something monumental for him to not get enough votes now.

There may be a few that change their minds and give it to McCaffrey, and a few that will give it to Watson, but most of those will still have Henry second, and that will give him a big margin.

Simple math...take 20 voters.
Give McCaffrey and Watson 8 first place votes each and Henry only 4.
Give Henry 16 second place votes and McCaffrey and Watson 2 each
Give McCaffrey and Watson 10 third place votes each.

Final score: Henry 44, McCaffrey 38, Watson 38.

Throw Mayfield into the picture and he will eat into a few of those first place votes. But I think Henry will get the vast majority of seconds. In a four person race, Henry could get only 5-10% of the first place votes, but 60-65% of the second place votes and still win the trophy, as long as that 90-95% of the other first place votes are fairly evenly spilt.
