Anyone know what is going to happen to the old Phi house? Didnt they just move to a new house?

They moved a house away this offseason. Not sure what its name was. Its the one that was to the right of the walk of champions if you were standing on the road facing the stadium.

Phi Delt moved to a new house in 2013-2014. The old house was torn down shortly after. Phi Psi (the house next to Phi Delt) built a new house on the old Pi Kapp lot on "New Row" along University. Their house was recently torn down.

I think at one point the plan was to build some larger "Champions Plaza" in addition to the walk of champions there but I could be wrong.

Isn't there some plan in the works for a new mixed use thing on that corner? I could be wrong but I feel like I saw drawings a while ago.

This is an old RFP, maybe this is what I was thinking of.

UA RFP : Wallace Wade and University

I feel like Bear Bryant was still coach when they leveled that block at Wallace Wade.

I guess it was around 95 or 96 though. Seems they had some plan then, but I forget what it was.

What expansion of Bryant-Denny are you talking about? I haven't seen any plans to expand it again.

Referring to the old plaza one on the North side.

And we had the little scoreboard in the endzone. And we lost a lot.

That sounds right, plus Phi Psi. There were 4 there in the 90's. There was a 5th one I think at one time, but they took it off the foundation and moved it to new row. That one may have been across the street though. Can't remember. That was around 90 or 91 when they moved it.

There was the Old Chi Phi house, then DKE, and the TKE house was torn down and they moved the Phi Psi house to that spot from its previous location to build the Bruno Business Library.

Doh! Now I remember they actually moved a house to that side of the street. I felt like it was moved because of construction but couldn't remember what was being built. Bruno library makes sense. It opened in 92 or 93, so it was I guess 91 or 92 they moved it.
