I agree. Give Pruitt a raise and make sure we keep him around. I love the way he calls defense. Aggressive defenses are so much fun to watch.

i love the aggression too, but let's not crap on Kirby. He built this car. Pruitt got the keys to a hot rod and he is driving the hell out of it - better than Kirby did but he's also got to keep it running. If he does that then, well, the SEC is fricked beyond measure.

I'm glad they both coached here. The speed we have now on D has a lot to do with how aggressive they're being.

Our D is a machine with this level of talent. I think my stupid arse could call the plays and shut people out.

Not exactly. Different cars. Rolls vs Lamborgini. Kirby won with Cody, Chapman, and Jesse anchoring the DL. Those guys, as much as we loved them, likely wouldn't play now, on this team.

I almost wanted Pruitt calling offense and defense last night!

Both just piggyback Saban. Muschamp, Fisher, Kirby, McElwain, Pelini, Kiffin. Saban can make any coach, especially a defensive one, look like a genius.

Kiffin is calling offense exactly like Saban wants. Pruitt is calling defense exactly like Saban wants. Same with Kirby. I know we like to bitch but that's the reality.

Point is, I think Saban is changing and I'm glad for it. I like a more aggressive defense. This contain thing gives the QB too much time and we've been burned. I think he's said to hell with it unleash the hounds.

Reminds me of Stallings a bit. To paraphrase him: "If you can't get to him (the qb) with 4 then rush 5. If you can't get to him with 5, send 6." And so on.

Though it's nice to be able to get to him with 4. :)

I agree Pruitt attacks way more than Kirby , all the exotic blitzes we heard about the last few years we are getting to see under Pruitt .

I don't think this is accurate. I think Kiffin has earned Saban's trust to gameplan and Saban gives him some leeway until things start going bad. Then Saban lets Kiffin know what he wants called. It looks to me like as long as things are going good, Saban mostly stays out of the offense.

I swear I saw him talking to Jalen in the second half as he was about to take the field.
