I am just bored and thought I would take a gander at what our ground attack will look like this year.

Jalen Hurts: 400 yds
Bo Scarbrough: 1200 yds
Najee Harris: 650 yds
Damien Harris: 600 yds

Still some unlisted yardage for the other guys of course but with only one ball I think the guys above get most of the carries.

I could be off with Jalen but I have seen statements from Saban himself saying he wanted a more patient hurts and he wants to rely less on his legs. I personally think we get in the neighborhood of 3800 yds from Jalen and I don't care how it is distributed but I think a larger majority will come from his arm this year.

I can't wait to see which couple of running backs separate themselves by midseason but I have my own idea about which of them will.

Damien Harris isn't going anywhere. He did have a 1000 yard season afterall.

Those are 2012 numbers. Assuming 14 games, that's 260 YPG. Hopefully the right side of the OL progresses.

I'm assuming 15 games. And 250 yards a game for this offense is attainable if the threat of pass is legitimate with Hurts. This may well be the most talented backfield and running QB we have ever had. OL is the key, as you said.

I think that Bo and Damien will be close in yardage. They will get the bulk of carries in the first half of games then give way to the rest of the group in the 2nd half of blowouts. It wouldn't surprise me if both Bo and Damien have 1000-1200. The rest will be spread among Hurts, Najee, and Jacobs. Would really like to redshirt Brian Robinson.

Everybody seems to be forgetting about Emmons. Wouldn't be surprised if he transferred though.

I really hope we have enough quality depth that we can keep Bo and D. Harris healthy all season.

Jalen - 680
Najee - 1200
Bo - 700
JJ - 680
DH - 500
BJ - 400

*shrugs*

How the frick are our coaches going to handle this much depth? All of our backs are so good.
My guess is that much of the rotation will have to do with how healthy the guys are. I hope that Bo has a Heisman year, but he's shown he can't hold up over a season. We'll see. It's anyone's guess at this point.
Najee is too much of a talent to hold back. If he can avoid fumbles/injury, I think he'll be our go-to in the second half of the season.

Me too. Najee Harris and Josh Jacobs will probably be the next two up.

Just so people don't have to look it up here are last year's numbers. Attempts/Yards/Avg

Hurts- 191/954/5.0
Damien- 146/1037/7.1
Bo- 125/812/6.5
Jacobs- 85/567/6.7
Emmons- 35/173/4.9 (injured half the season)

Overall the team averaged 245 yards rushing per game.

I'd be shocked if Hurts has half of that this year.

I hope he's at around 100 carries.

It's possible, but it'd be unprecedented under Saban. Yeldon is the only back to break 1000 in his freshman year at Bama, and he only had Lacy in front of him. Najee has at least three, possibly four backs ahead of him right now.

Based on what? High school and one good run at A-Day?
