I think if we're serious about taking things to another level, then we make Greg Marshall an offer he can't turn down. Its time to flex some of our muscle and not settle.

I would, he made little Butler into a back to back National runner up.

If we expect to land a top tier coach, we will likely need to commit to a major renovation of Coleman Coliseum.

I hope not. I'd rather have him coaching my C's than UA.

We've already done that. Need to tear it down and build a new one.

The renovation of Coleman is going to hold back the program for many years. The seating is so jam packed u can't sit comfortably. The food is lackluster and way overpriced. It looks really nice from the outside but its a poor fan experience overall in my opinion. It would help if they gave the students better seats to encourage enthusiasm at the games. But the big price tag on the renovation is probably going to keep us from building anything new anytime in the next 10-20 years. These facility problems and lack of university support are going to make it hard to pull in any coach that was won big somewhere. The best realistic option is hiring a very young up and comer who views this job as a stepping stone to something bigger and better. The infrastructure we have in place (including the current roster) will make things unattractive for a big name coach. Money talks and maybe we could pull a good one with a rediculous contract. But I think that is somewhat of a pipe dream type scenario. I have never seen a bleaker future for our basketball team.
