Why the hell do we not get some of these guys like Ben Davis or Mack Wilson out there in blowouts? Our defense was gassed in this game, and we had no backups to put in.

I know the defense wants to keep the shutout or whatever stat, but if we'd had some of those five stars freshmen play in garbage time, they could've come in and given us several plays to give the starters a blow

Mack is ready for this level( I don't know about Ben), there is no excuse for him not being worked in as a sub.

Not just those two though. We have hardly any backups that get significant playing time on defense.

We started our secondary young two years ago but other than that Saban keeps them on special teams. I'm not saying I'm right(questioning Saban is usually stupid), but I think we should get those guys in at every opportunity.

I don't tend to question Saban either. In this case though I think it's players asking to stay in there to not give up a garbage time TD. We had no depth on defense tonight
