As far as impressing me, I've gotta say Cooper and Yeldon. I knew the hype was there for them, and I was high on Cooper before he took a snap based on what the coaches were saying. But still, Yeldon has 809 yds rushing on the season and is likely to break 1000 yds on the season.

As for disappointing, I've got to go with Sunseri. I think alot is due to the lack of a pass rush this year, but his athleticism just isn't on par with what we've had in the backfield the past few seasons. He's fine when he's a blitzing option, but in coverage, he's a liability, imo.

What are yalls opinions and/or observations?

I feel Belue has done a pretty good job overall this year, being his first year and starting. I think he'll be even better next year. I just wished we had more depth so we could have seen him returning kicks and punts.

as the young guys get better and some get healthy, I think Vinnie is more of a roll player next year with a major emphasis on ST

Yay: Yeldon, Kouandjio, Cooper, Devall, Pettway

Nay: Hubbard, Christion Jones, Sunseri, Fanning

Jones is more the product of a lot of hype, not that he's done bad. All I heard was he was gonna be a huge threat in the slot and Bama's best WR. Fanning, on the other hand, was hyped but has done nothing except a german suplex with a failed bridge in the Mizzou game.

Completly concour, but will add Steen and Mandell, to the good list.
I expected more out of Vinny, Nico and and Trey, the rest were questions to start.

That pretty well sums it up for me. I think Vinnie can still be a decent SS, but he just doesn't have the speed to cover the slot in the nickle or dime. and I thought Hubbard and Dickson would be monsters off the edge.

Everyone saying Belue seriously needs to watch him play and not just watch the game.

Combined for 5.5 sacks, 11 TFL, 7 QB Hurries (they have more but they're only credited with 7), 3 Forced Fumbles, and 2 PBUs.

Mingo/Montgomery have combined for 11 sacks, 17.5 TFL, 13 QB Hurries (probably have a couple more), 1 Forced Fumble, and 5 PBUs.

Adrian/Dickson are Sophomores and have played against better OL. Mingo/Montgomery are Juniors.

I have watched and re-watched every game this season (except this last one). Plenty of my second viewings have centered on our secondary. He has improved slightly but remains far behind where we needed him to be and he remains a liability.

You having him on your "impressed" list is laughable. Unless you are Belue. Are you Belue?

I don't think anyone expected him to be on any All-SEC team at the end of the year. First year in a complicated defense. He's done well though.

Why, because he's given up plays where he had great coverage?

I expected a Milliner Freshman like season, he's played really well right now.

I should add Shelley to the impressed list. Guy is having a helluva year. If he finishes next week without a miss, there is no way he shouldn't get the Groza award. He'll be perfect for the season.
