Its not an excuse. The defense is playing run cause a lineman is blocking 6 yards down field.

And Saban just stands there. Time for him to do something about it. We're not paying him millions to just allow that.

The need an offical and that is all his job is to do is make sure linemen aren't blocking 6 yards down the field when a pass is thrown.

The receiver already had 10 yards of separation before the RG broke the 3-yard barrier. The corner came off because he was watching the QB. That was just piss poor defense.

It doesn't matter if it's an excuse the rule needs to be enforced

I haven't seen a wide shot with all 22, but I thought the corner released the receiver to the safety who came up because he read run. But whatever, that one play didn't cost us this game.

The rule should be if the linemen run block, you can't pass it down field plain and simple.

You can make it even simpler than that; since every single time this play is ran effectively there are always multiple linemen at least five yards down field, make that aspect as reviewable as the qb body location.

I think it's bullshite they can review the QB's body in relation to the LOS but they can't look at where the OL are.

This was suppose to be a major point of emphasis this year.

We still had our chances. That run for a first on Ole Miss last drive was huge. We make that stop and we have about another 50 seconds or so for our last drive.
