Well, I was going to go to the Stapleton show, but it's sold out already. Apparently it sold out in the first two hours.

There are a couple in Birmingham. I've never been, but I've been told it's similar to Five Guys.
Moo-Yah is better than Five Guys, IMO. They bake their buns in house every day, and they don't overcook the patties like Five Guys does. Fries are pretty much the same.
And their shakes are awesome.

I was able to get a couple through the presale on Thursday. I think scalpers bought a shitload of tickets because there are a ton on StubHub now at higher prices. frickers!

Man frick those people. I was going to go to Nashville to see Tool this past year, but literally in minutes, it was sold out because of scalpers. I'm not paying their outrageous prices.

Some really good shows coming to T-Town at DC this fall. HippieSabotage just announced Sept 27th

Stapleton tickets will most likely drop in price as the date approaches. I don't think he's quite big enough to support such a quick sell out at Tuscaloosa Amphitheater, and scalpers overbought. Same thing happened with the Jason Isbell/Sturgill Simpson show there last fall, and there were plenty of tickets around face the week of the show.

Agreed. That happened to me when Stapleton came to Iron City in January. Unfortunately, Stapleton is plenty big enough to warrant the scalping of tickets at a small venue like that and ticket prices never really came down much. I think they'll end up around face value for this show.

University Blvd back open!

It looks nice. They will continue with it next summer all the way up to McFarland.
I wish ALDOT was as good and efficient as UA is with road projects. I feel like 15th St and McFarland is never going to be done.

Same with I-20/59. You have no idea how annoying it is going from 70 and dropping to 45. Plus dealing with idiotic truck drivers who don't remember to stay in the right lane.

Blame the shitty contractors. That intersection should have been finished a year ago.

And I don't think they can install the new adaptive signal system until those intersections are completed.

A place called 3000 Bar will be opening where T-town Burger was (near Corks and Tops).
Also heard a World of Beer will be opening downtown next to Moe's BBQ

On Lurleen BLVD and 6th street looks like they're going to build a 3 story building for retail. The rendering looks sick.

Btw, that intersection between 15th and 82 won't be finished until late August or early September.

Not exactly how it works. DOTs have their hands tied in most cases. Municipalities have far more leeway.
