According to his PC, there apparently is/was a NCAA issue with Johnny Dwight.

Alabama redshirt junior wide receiver Robert Foster sustained a knee injury during Tuesday’s practice, Crimson Tide head coach Nick Sabanannounced this evening. Foster was missing from the team’s Wednesday practice.

"From an injury standpoint, you guys know ArDarius Stewart is questionable for the game. He's certainly questionable for the game," Saban said. "Robert Foster tweaked his knee yesterday in practice, aight, and he's also questionable for the game. So those guys would be the two guys that are questionable for the game."

Through three games, Foster caught three passes for 13 yards in a reserve role on the Alabama offense. He sustained a shoulder injury in Week 3 of last season that ended his redshirt sophomore year prematurely.

A former five-star player, Foster was the No. 1 player in Pennsylvania, the No. 2 wide receiver and the No. 23 overall prospect in the 2013 recruiting cycle, according to the industry-generated 247Sports Composite rankings.

Our D gave up a lot this past weekend to Ole Miss. Just saying

That is pretty much my point. They are giving up a lot of yards and have let to play a potent offense.

what does this even mean? They have only given up a lot of yards in one game, and that was against a potent offense. Say what you want about kelly, hes a great passer when hes on, made some absolutely perfect throws into good coverage. Couple that with the ole miss line holding without penalty, the very good receivers they have, and the fact that by the end of the game we were playing without eddie jackson, minkah fitzpatrick, and reuben foster, and some yards were given up. I dint think anyone else will put up numbers like that until the playoffs. The days of low scoring games between legitimately good offenses are over until/unless some rules change

The "they" is aTm. Bama gave up a lot of yards to OM, a really good offense. ATm has given up a lot of yards to far less potent ones.

Sorry for the confusing use of pronouns.

I just hope this team comes together strong for the rest of the season. If you listen to all the guys on the networks or radio you would assume we lost to Ole Miss. All I hear now is about how great OSU is and Louisville is the team to beat. I just hope these guys respond like teams in the past when we get counted out.

R Smith has to be the biggest Bama hater out there. I have yet to here him on TV or radio where he has not had something negative to say about us. He is a complete tool and probably faps every time UA drops a game.

What did he say? I've always thought Smith was one of the better analysts. In the past few years, I've heard him say good and bad 'bout Bama, but usually it wasn't anything outrageous or much off the mark. I know he picked us to make the play-offs this year...

I agree he seems pretty level headed for the most part just always seems to pick out the negative about us. Like yesterday he is saying 6 of the 7 last NC had a first year starter at QB but when talking about UA like it would be our downfall. It is like he knows we are good and are a contender but you get the feeling he wish we would have lost to Ole Miss

2 weeks is highly unlikely as I know they throw those things out. But you are looking at a minimum of 4 with a high side of 6

The betting line has been released for No. 1-ranked Alabama’s Week 5 home game against the Kentucky Wildcats. The Crimson Tide is a considerable betting favorite over the second SEC opponent on its 2016-17 schedule.

Alabama opened as a 31-point favorite over Kentucky on Sunday afternoon, according to VegasInsider.com, but the Vegas Insider Consensus betting line has already moved to -32 in favor of the top-ranked Crimson Tide.

Kentucky has recorded a 2-2 (1-1 SEC) record through four weeks and most recently defeated South Carolina by a score of 17-10 at Commonwealth Stadium. The Wildcats have won two in a row after beating New Mexico State a week ago by a score of 62-42. Kentucky opened its season with a 44-35 loss to Southern Miss and fell to Florida, 45-7, the following week.

The Wildcats finished their 2015 season with a 5-7 (2-6 SEC) record. They were 1-3 in games away from Lexington.

Alabama will host Kentucky for its 2016 homecoming game Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium. This will be the Crimson Tide and Wildcats’ 40th meeting on the football field, with Alabama leading the all-time series 36-2-1.

Alabama-Kentucky will kick off at 6 p.m. CT on Saturday, Oct. 1, and will air on ESPN.

OTHER STATS

- Freshman quarterback Jalen Hurts ranks seventh in the SEC with 244.5 yards of total offense per game this year and has produced the sixth-most total yards with 978 yards (727 passing, 251 rushing) in four games. His 251 rushing yards are the third-most by a quarterback, trailing only Mississippi State’s Nick Fitzgerald (329) and Texas A&M’s Trevor Knight (308).

- Last week, Damien Harris led the conference with a 9.08 yards per carry average, and despite exiting the Kent State game early with a sprained ankle, he still averages 8.63 yards per touch. The surprising part was his replacement, Joshua Jacobs, ranked third in the league with an average of 8.33 yards per carry after his 97-yard performance against Kent State.

Harris (8.63), Jacobs (8.33), Hurts (5.58) and B.J. Emmons (5.5) all rank within the SEC’s top 17.

- Adam Griffith drilled both of his field goal attempts yesterday, including a 48-yard try, and with those two field goals and four extra points the fifth-year senior ranks third in the conference in scoring with 10 points per game and 40 points, trailing Auburn’s Daniel Carlson (50) and Texas A&M’s Daniel LaCamera (50). He also leads the SEC with 22 extra points

- The referees inside Bryant-Denny Stadium called zero accepted penalties against Kent State yesterday afternoon. On the season, Alabama’s opponents have been flagged 14 times for 127 yards (31.8 penalty yards per game). Only three teams’ opponents have been penalized less per game than Alabama’s 3.5 average -- Purdue, Washington and Georgia State.

- And then there were three. Only three SEC teams remain undefeated after Week 4’s slate of games in Alabama, Tennessee and Texas A&M. All three of these teams will play the other two, in a sort of round robin, between Oct. 8-22.

The Associated Press released its latest top-25 teams Sunday, and Alabama remained atop the top-25 poll after its 48-0 victory over Kent State. The Crimson Tide earned 50 first-place votes following its non-conference win.

Alabama received the most first-place votes, while Ohio State (4), Louisville (6) and Michigan (1) also earned votes to be the top-ranked team in the country. Three of the Crimson Tide’s remaining eight opponents on its 2016-17 regular-season schedule were ranked in the top-25 teams, while seven teams from the SEC were ranked.

Just like the previous three weeks, Alabama was ranked No. 1 in both the Amway Coaches Poll and AP Poll.

The AP Top 25 Poll is determined by a simple points system based on how each voter ranks college football's best teams. A team receives 25 points for each first place vote, 24 for second place and so on through to the 25th team, which receives one point. The rankings are set by listing the teams' point totals from highest to lowest.

AP TOP 25 POLL AFTER WEEK 4

2. Ohio State (4)
3. Louisville (6)
4. Michigan (1)
5. Clemson

Who are the 10 best teams in college football after the first month of the regular season?

Fox Sports senior writer Bruce Feldman has an idea.

Wisconsin and Texas A&M are two teams who have come away as most impressive and are ranked higher than their current spots in the Coaches and AP Poll. The Badgers have already posted wins over then-Top 10s LSU and Michigan State away from home while the Aggies bookended a season-opening win over UCLA with a big victory on Saturday night over 17th-ranked Arkansas.

Kevin Sumlin's squad has beaten Auburn on the road, too.

Bruce Feldman's Top 10 after Week 4

1. Alabama (4-0)

2. Ohio State (3-0)

3. Louisville (4-0)

4. Wisconsin (4-0)

5. Texas A&M (4-0)

6. Michigan (4-0)

7. Houston (4-0)

8. Stanford (4-0)

9. Clemson (4-0)

10. Tennessee (4-0)

The SEC and Big Ten makes up 60 percent of Feldman's list, followed by Louisville and Clemson from the ACC along with conference favorites Houston and Stanford.

Feldman on Urban Meyer's Buckeyes: "(Ohio State) is still basking in the glow of their impressive romp at OU last week. For such an inexperienced squad, they've been amazing in the three games they've played so far. They've been amazing so far."

Alabama will travel to Fayetteville, Ark., on Saturday, Oct. 8, to face the Arkansas Razorbacks, but the Week 6 game's kickoff time and television channel is still undecided. CBS exercised its six-day option, so Alabama-Arkansas will either air at 2:30 p.m CT on CBS or 6 p.m. CT on ESPN, the SEC announced Monday.

Arkansas has recorded a 3-1 (0-1 SEC) record through the first four weeks and most recently lost to Texas A&M by a score of 45-24. The Hogs opened their season with three straight wins, including a 41-38 victory at TCU.

Arkansas finished with an 8-5 (5-3 SEC) record a season ago and posted a 4-3 record on its home field in Fayetteville. The Hogs, however, fell to the Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa by a score of 27-14 in the second week of October.

This will be Alabama and Arkansas’ 25th meeting on the field, with the Tide leading the all-time series 16-8. Alabama will look to extend its current winning streak over the Razorbacks to 10 games in less than two weeks.

The Alabama coaching staff recognized nine players following the 48-0 shutout win over Kent State last Saturday. O.J. Howard, Joshua Jacobs and Jonah Williams on offense, Minkah Fitzpatrick, Ronnie Harrison and Keith Holcombe on defense, and Adam Griffith, Xavian Marks and JK Scott on special teams were each recognized on Monday.

Howard finished his day with three catches for a team-high 60 yards and his first touchdown of the season. He also helped block for Jacobs’ career afternoon that saw the freshman tailback rush for 97 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 11 carries. Jacobs also caught a pair of passes for 23 yards to round out his day. His rushes converted a first down or touchdown six different times and seven of his 13 total touches gained nine yards or more, including a long rush of 24 yards and a long reception of 15. Williams anchored the Tide line, posting a team-high grade of 86 percent with a team-leading four knockdown blocks. He did not allow a sack, commit a penalty or surrender a quarterback pressure in his effort to open holes for the Tide backs to accumulate 285 yards rushing and three scores on the ground.

From his corner position, Fitzpatrick led Alabama with 1.5 sacks for -13 yards as part of his three total tackles on the day. Harrison also had three tackles from the secondary and recovered a fumble on Kent State’s first offensive drive of the second quarter. Holcombe finished with a career-high six tackles to rank second on the team and helped limit the Golden Flashes to only 82 yards rushing.

Griffith was a perfect 4-for-4 on extra-point attempts and added field goals of 28 and 48 yards to the Tide total. He also kicked off six times for 382 yards for an average of 63.7 yards per kick and totaled three touchbacks in the process. Scott was forced to punt only two times, but took advantage of his opportunities, totaling 98 yards on the two boots with a long of 53 to average 49.0 yards per punt. Marks, in his first action of the season at punt returner, went in for six from 75 yards out to record his first career punt return for a touchdown. He finished the day with four punt returns for 90 yards with a long of 75.

TUSCALOOSA -- Alabama’s defense gained another five-star player this week with the return of junior cornerback Tony Brown. Brown sat out the Crimson Tide’s first four games of 2016 due to an NCAA suspension, but now he’s back.

The same can be said about redshirt sophomore defensive lineman Johnny Dwight, who will be able to provide depth for the Alabama defensive front. Head coach Nick Saban announced both players’ return to the field this afternoon.

"Tony Brown and Johnny Dwight are eligible to play in this game," Saban said Monday in a press conference. "They've done all the things that they've needed to do, so their suspensions are over, and we're very happy to have them back."

Brown was spotted at one of the safety positions with the second-team defense last week during the media viewing periods of practice. Dwight sported a scout-team number in the Tide’s two days of preparation for Kent State.

There’s still work for Brown to do to see reps on the first-team defense, but a suspension is no longer stopping him from that.
