Why we would fire Grant?
You must not enjoy watching 4 guys stand around the perimeter passing the ball without putting on the floor, then holding out for 5 seconds left on the shot clock before jacking up a terrible shot. If you don't enjoy that brand of basketball, then I don't what to say.

Wonder why our little buddy hasn't chimed in to tell us how great Grant is? Tried to tell him.

Tom Izzo has already accepted the job.
Seriously
Buzz Wiilliams (Marquette)
Chris Mack (Xavier)
Greg McDermott (Creighton)
Steve Alford (New Mexico)

I don't think any of these guys would leave for Alabama. I think our best shots would be with Buzz and Chris Mack, but we'd have to throw a lot of money at them.

I hear you. I have watched my last game and tickets have been disposed of.

I personally can't stand BB, so I have no idea what to think of him other than the dismal record, but if we're going to spend all that money and effort on the sport, we ought to be winning.
On the other hand, there's no need to fire someone if you can't hire anyone better, so if we were to get rid of him, who would we get? Could we get a game changer? Everyone thought that Grant was that man when he was hired.
Is Alabama BB like Kentucky football? Was good under a couple of coaches but hasn't been relevant in years...
Serious question.

no we have past success, and with the amount of resources spent on basketball fans should not settle for mediocrity

ONE elite eight and a history of being stymied whenever we chance into real talent is hardly a great record. On a good note, it is A LOT easier to turn a program around in Bball than football since you're dealing with 15 or so players, not over 100.

Still we are not the Kentucky football equivalent.

One of the Mississippi schools is probably a better parrallel. I'd say Miss State since Ole Miss has a title

We are 30th in the NCAA in all time men's basketball wins. We are more like Virginia Tech football. Lots of regular season wins with very limited postseason success. State football has an overall losing record and has been a dumpster fire 90% of the time.

I think I might yell at Anthony tonight if I get displeased. It's going to be a dead environment id think.

Keep Anthony Grant.
No good coach will come if he gets fired right now.
I don't know what the answer is, but basketball has become a shitty sport.
I feel sorry for Kentucky. They have to do what it takes to win big in basketball.

a good mid major coach making 500k will come to bama for 2 mil any day of the week

Problem: Anthony Grant was considered among the best, probably the best, of the mid-major coaches when we hired him...
Not saying there aren't any landable mid-major coaches out there that are better, but its far from a foregone conclusion that any specefic one will be better.
