It's not in the link above.

University of Alabama special teams coach Bobby Williams is moving to an off-the-field position and staying at UA as part of a shift in the offensive staff's coaching duties, The Tuscaloosa News has learned.

The Tuscaloosa News has also learned that Alabama held a team meeting this week when Brent Key was introduced as the offensive line coach, specifically centers/guards (as SI.com reported earlier this week), with former offensive line coach Mario Cristobal moving to coach tackles/tight ends. Billy Napier was announced as remaining the wide receivers coach.

However, a source indicated Tuesday that some roles may have changed since that time.

More to come...

Bobby Williams gets a lot of hate from people that don't understand that he wasn't responsible for any of the kicking woes.

Fair or unfair, I think it's due to a combination of our kicking woes, his subpar recruiting most years, and our TEs inconsistency that has earned Bobbeh the bad rap.

Our kick and punt coverage lapses were a bulk of the complaints.

I don't have any numbers but I don't remember our punt and kick coverage ever being that bad. Sure, there have been lapses here and there, but every team has coverage lapses.

Here's the official rolltide.com article with Saban's quotes about Bobby Williams. LINK

“My relationship with Bobby goes back a long time,” Saban said. “Bobby has been a key piece of our staff as we worked to build this program to compete at a national championship level. Even though he won’t be on the field coaching, he will be vital to our success in this role as special assistant to the head coach.”

Mario definitely deserves his recruiting coordinator title. It's crazy that he's now our second most tenured assistant behind Burton Burns (Bo Davis's non-consecutive seasons notwithstanding).

I guess Saban finally got a hold of the incriminating photos that Bobbeh had of him.

No more leverage = No more Bobbeh

And a lot of that had to do with not having a kicker that couldnt even kick it into the endzone I'm assuming.
