Glad you baws have this thread going. Jay Seawell is an outstanding coach and knows what to look for in a player. He did wonders for Augusta State before Josh Gregory came in. I'm also kind of biased since his father, Jackie, was my instructor for several years.

Jay comes from a true golf family. His father along with his two brothers all played for South Carolina. He also had a brother, David, who played on the PGA Tour for a year or two in the late 90's.

Alabama will be adding a few more on the tour in the coming years without any doubt.

Yeah I think Robby Shelton could be the next to make the big jump. Solid player at Bama.

Will be glad to talk some golf with anyone .

Thompson finished -7 and T14. Mullinax was -1 and T49.

Nobody else made the cut.

Fun tournament in Phoenix this weekend.

Thomas and Cauley teeing off this afternoon in the opening round of the Phoenix tournament.

Didn't see any of our other guys in the field for this one.

Yeah, Thomas tees off at 12. Little before Mickeleson.

John Peterson is killing right now on the front 9. LSU guy if I'm not mistaken.

You happen to see Rickie Fowler's bunker shot btw? Pretty confident shooting today

Haven't seen any highlights yet. Matsuyama continuing to play incredibly well it appears.

Thomas finished two under. Finished with 3 birdies on the back 9 and only 1 bogey. Had a pretty good GIR score and good driving distance. He seems to be playing comfortable.

Bud finished T-47. Played solid golf after Thursday but not nearly well enough to contend. Successful weekend for him nonetheless.

Matsuyama continues to roll. Just 24 years old and really establishing himself as a force.

That was a great day of golf. Rickie Fowler played great over the weekend. Only two bogeys in the entire event, and finished with 4 birdies in the last 6 holes.

Proud of Matsuyama. Putting game needs some work (that shot on hole 18 was ridiculous), but he's one many young players in the game today that is making golf exciting to watch. Great sudden-death playoff.

I get so damn jealous at the fact that these guys can crush a ball off the tee with a 3-wood.

The distance they hit the ball is ridiculous. I have to swing 3/4 effort or I'll knock the ball in the woods every time.

Mullinax 1 final. Didn't play holes 5-9.

Bobby Wyatt even at par. Had tow birdies on the back 9 and had 66% GIR%.

Mullinax with 6 birdies today, putting him at 4 under. He was great driving the ball today and fairly accurate.

Once again though, shitty weather cost us some good golf. Spieth is on fire though.

Man Spieth has been killing it. Likely will be his first PGA title in over a year. Glad he got his confidence again and putting extremely well.

Mullinax btw is 5 under. Shot 3 under for the day. Did well on the front 9, but struggled on the back 9. Started with an eagle, but had 3 bogies finishing.

Should be a great day of golf.
